If I got a bill that had a positive message it would make my day. Especially since it could be from someone else from the forums. That would be soo cool. Can't wait to get more into circualtion

I'm not sure what CD this is but it has renegades of funk on it...the booklet says "I write messages on money...It's my own form of social protest.....A letter printed on paper that no one will destroy...passed indiscriminately across race, class and gender lines...and written in the blood that keeps the beast alive...a quiet little hijacking...on the way to the check-out counter...and a federal crime..I hope that someone will find my message one day when they really need it...like I do." That message spans like 9 pages in the booklet.

Excellent idea! I don't have any money now, but I will tomorrow. I love "defacing" money. I usually put a little question mark under "In God We Trust", but I like this idea better because it seems to be more positive.

:D My friend, who lives across the country and knows nothing of my plans to alter bills, just told me that she had a dollar yesterday that said "Impeach Bush" on it. Muahahaha. This is great. I still haven't had money to do it on, though...

I got the same idea when Battle of Los Angelas came out by RATM. I used to write BURN ME! on them in red. Now if I have a pen handy I write LEGALIZE IT or LISTEN TO BOB MARLEY

I've been writing 'You are not the contents of your wallet'
'I own you' and 'Question authority'
I also scratched out the first 't' in the statement 'In God We Trust'!!
    hahaha....I'm pathetic.

I just put three different phrases on three separate bills:
"War doesn't determine who's right-- only who's left......."
    "Racism- for the ignorant"
and the last one simply said "I LOVE YOU"... it was the most positive thing that came to mind, hehe.
And of course I put peace signs in the upper right hand corners...

I've been doing this to all my money. Sometimes I tell the cashier to give me all 1's so I can write on more. heh, it's becoming a habit now. I'll totally start putting peace signs in the corners now. I am getting some odd looks, and I'm just waiting for someone to say, "we can't take this". But that'll probably never happen, I'm sure they'd take it even if it were dipped in poison. This is great, keep it up everyone!

Yeah, insanejester's right - keep it positive...

there was some qoute here that I wanted to qoute but I really can't be bothered...so I'll just get into it...

if we could get enough people...as in tons....as in EVERYONE!!! (who cares anyway)...we could really make this work....this is a really good idea, I'm just hoping it's not a flop you know...

Can you imagine? Every time you went to a shop to buy something and got a note back you were almost GAURANTEED to get one with a positive message about what's real and right...it could be one of the biggest and original types of protests ever....that might actually work!

    But then....

    I'm probably just dreaming...

BTW, I know it's illegal to write on notes in australia, but is it illegal in america?
