Eh, that doesn't mean anything. The Shining was a pretty dumb book...

Probably in my top ten favorite movies ever made.

Heres what I said on facebook.

Every year around January I watch all the Oscar contenders. I saved Slumdog Millionaire for last because I expected a dry morose look at the ghettos of Mumbai. A lecture of oscar baiting platitudes. Never have my instincts about a movie been so askew. What separates this movie from the pretentions of an Indian ghetto flick,

In a movie so filled with gangsters and poverty, was it's lust for live. A film which presented a world of Mumbai so beautiful and hopeful, that while not forgetting the despair, the theme of hope and redemption through virtue are so prevalent that it makes every scene of Mumbai's ghettos a treat. Our protagonist Jamal is a perfect comedy hero. An innocent but realistic optimist fighting insurmountable odds and triumphing through the force of his own will and his pure intentions.

This film does the impossible and turns 'Who Want's To Be A Millionaire' into the most captivating thing I've seen in years. Slumdog Millionaire is without rival the best movie of the year, beautiful and endearing, and everything cinema promises to an audience, visually dazzling, moving and unforgettable."

I'm pretty convinced it won't be the best of the year but I'll surely give it a go before the ceremony.

And your use of language is offensive... not the swearing but the grammar.

I don't follow the regular teen shit, I just love movies.

I also haven't read the books.

But any scene that uses "Supermassive Black Hole" is good and stylish cinematography doesn't hurt.

I couldn't sit through the movie, it was to terrible. it is also a prime example of why the girls of your generation, well and the guys to...are usually messed up in the head. here you have all these magazines and movies tell you kids that if you don't look like this you arn't cool, or if you arn't skinny like that you arn't sexy. I actually feel bad for your generation for the most part it seems most of you are lacking any kind of self image or original thought.

I also have mostly fear and loathing for and about this generation.

But good new movies keep me going.

Robert Pattinson seems like a bright guy, though. I don't think he was expecting this kind of coverage.

You know, it was funny, I was browsing sci-fi in a bookstore last week for about 5 minutes and during that time two different chicks asked for the third part of the Twilight series.

You needed to use quotations, you misspelled 'Eragon', you used too many commas, and the sentence requires a period at the end.

Please go back to school before visiting these forums again. You're the dumbest man here.

It was alright... I was really excited about it being a big Eastwood fan, but it kinda disappointed me. The ending is one of the corniest I've ever seen, Clint's performance is rather average and more comical than anything, and the entire plot is pretty damn dumb and morally conjured. I'd give it a 5, which is still better than 99% of the stuff out there.
