    i acually liked waterworld. yeh, some parts were stupid, ya just gotta overlook things sometimes.i hafta do it alot. but the ship being exxon valdez. & the island being mt everest, were great.

    the first one that comes to mind is The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. nobody seems to enjoy this movie, but i absolutely love it.

    My girlfriend loved it; me and my sister really liked it.

    Have you seen any other of Terry Gilliam's movies? The Adventures of Baron Munchhausen is my favorite. :2thumbsup:

    Although oddly enough as a kid I really enjoyed the movie Time Bandits :2thumbsup:

    actually i think i've seen a couple other Terry Gilliam movies though off of the top of my head i couldnt tell you which ones, i simply remember being told they were his movies. I'll have to check out Baron Munchhausen though

    After reading the "Dune" book/books the movie just seemed incredibly disappointing. Also had high expectations from David Lynch

    "Apocalypto"
    lots of people hated it because it was all subtitled (people hate to read), others because it wasn't "historically or culturally accurate" (so what), and still others because of Mel Gibsons racist and other public outbursts that had nothing to do with the movie.
    ( gotta learn to separate the man from the art, people... lotta great artists are nut-bags)

    I didn't like it the first time I watched it, but parts of it grew on me the second and third time I saw it.
