I stongly doubt that no one likes this movie. No one knows about it maybe, but it's an AWESOME movie.
I couldn’t help by like Dune because I’ve read every book on the subject ever written from Frank Herbert on down to his son Brian and I needed some kind of visualization to make it complete Hotwater
i was just looking at the "Movies everyone else likes but you think suck" thread, and apparently a lot of people hate Tarantino with a passion (granted, i didnt like Inglorious Basterds, but its the only one of his movies i didnt like). so, a great movie no one seems to like : Reservoir Dogs, which is possibly my favorite movie ever. (and for the record, i love Last Action Hero)
I will punch anyone who doesnt like reservoir dogs in the FACE! Ok, I won't, but I strongly doubt no one likes it....
Inglorious Basterds is his best one by far! (and I love Reservoir Dogs, but it's third to Jackie Brown) What's not to like? I definitely agree with you about Last Action Hero :2thumbsup:
i thought some scenes were redundant, but thats not the biggest problem, here it is : the french cast is AWFUL. they just can't act, every time they're on screen and speaking french its like watching a really bad infomercial (thats how bad it is). (obviously its especially annoying for the french viewers like myself, i realize foreign viewers don't really notice it) Jackie Brown is an awesome movie :2thumbsup:
Well for people who don't speak french, it's a brilliant film. The fact that he shows a little more about the dialogue and situations and their subtleties and nuances than you HAVE To have to know what's going on doesn't make it redundant. For english speakers, the dialogue is very very well done and is often as exciting as the shooting, IMO. How he did that sort of reminds me of larry clark, and how he needs to show you every little detail of things. Also, kids and ken park are great movies, but many people don't like them.
Vanilla Sky? That's my favorite Tom Cruise movie :hurray: and how could people not like Quentin Tarantino? I love Grindhouse!
Running With Scissors- it was an EXCELLENT adaptation of the book in my opinion, an as I am an ADORING Augusten Burroughs fan I was extremely cautious when I went to see the movie- however they casted superbly, caught the quirk and the emotional of the book, and I believe the an overall excellent job- but PLEASE read the book first, b/c what CANNOT be captured on film is author Burrough's sharp wit and and wickedly clever humor! He is FABULOUS!
