Archeologists recently discovered manuscripts showing that we were wrong about the number of the beast. (this is for real, btw) Apparently it is 616, so you are in the clear. Interestingly, 616 is the area code for Ann Arbor, which comes as no surprise.

    Here are my picks:

Singer: Alison Krauss (she so kicks all these guys asses.)
    Guitarist: (style) John Scofield
    Guitarist (technical) Buckethead
    Bassist: Les Claypool
    Keys: John Medeski
    Sax: Karl Denson
Drummer: Robert Holmes (Steve Kimock Band) <-- no one who has ever seen this guy could possibly disagree.
    Songwriter: Ani Difranco
    Cellist: Yo-yo-ma
    Mandolin: David Grisman
Multiple instruments: Casey Benjamin (Project Logic)
    Tambourine: Yoko Ono :)

I'm taking back my best lyricist from Ani and bumping her into a close second behind Mike Doughty.

    I'm sensing a theme here.

I thought about Phil and Jerry and Mickey. I just didn't want to go all dead. Still, I'm glad someone did. :)
