She's going to make someone a very happy man.

Such phenomenal leadership is not at all common. She is an extraordinary leader, whose role in achieving global sustainability cannot be overstated.

When no one else stood, there was Greta Thunberg.

She's got a lot of spunk, I like her for that. Unfortunately, she's been brainwashed by the agenda seekers, like so many of us, to believe them when they try to sell climate change as an imminent existential threat. How easily we forget. Many people have predicted gloom and doom over the last several decades. By earlier claims, we're supposed to be extinct already. Famine, drought, acid rain, blah blah blah. Have we learned nothing? We currently have the cleanest environment in fifty years. Greenhouse gas emissions haven't increased in the last ten years. Don't be duped.

We are called to be good stewards of our environment. We need to pursue cleaner and cleaner energy. We need to stop generating so much trash! We need to be judicious with our use of energy and water. Our goal should be to leave no trace.

But science doesn't support that we'll be dead anytime soon due to changes in Earth's climate. Science only measures that the climate changes. And has been for as long in history in which evidence can be found. And we adapt. As a species, we identify and fix problems. We won't let climate change kill us off. We need energy to sustain life. Technology is improving how we impact our environment with energy usage. We have never continued on the path we're on.

There's no evidence of an existential threat despite the claims otherwise. And we can do without Greta and her ilk whining about how we're not doing enough all while she's jetting around leaving a bigger carbon footprint than the majority of us. It's easy to be taken in but if we're serious then let's minimize our own impacts. Do our best to be good stewards and don't "worry" about how future generations will be able to cope. Instead, train them to be good stewards and to pursue research and technology. Have some faith in good humanity and call out polluting processes. Be concerned about the debt being left to future generations to pay. Don't borrow against them.

You don't half talk a load of bullshit !!! - and if you care to do a little homework, you will find that Greta Thunberg was not 'jetting around' at all but travelled overland.

I love how the commander in cheeto liked to gaslight people who pose a threat to his life of excess and immaturity. Projecting much, Putin's bitch?

Classic sign of cognitive dissonance, attack on a personal level rather than the issue itself.
Can't refute anything I said but wish you could? I just wish everyone could get on board to solve problems logically.

I really didn’t see any people in the T——- administration with even a smidgeon of the intelligence and courage of Greta. She is indeed speaking “words of wisdom”. In the community we live in there is a Super Fund site with thousands of acres of tidelands poisoned by utility pole treating. You can bet the shareholders and executives are not paying one cent of the cleanup costs….nor are coal companies and vehicle manufacturers doing anything about their dirty environmental footprints.

Trudging----Well, then, let's find out what your qualifications are to make the "definitive "statements you constantly make that attempt to refute 90 some percent of the scientists that study the climate. Your posts that damn sure reflect hard core republicanism and that of the corporations that see a threat in change. Changes that might change the money flow to themselves. Reveal your methods of deduction.

Oh, and by the way--if I wanted to BOTHER to refute anyone like you--I'd have to post so many quotes by scientists from various publications that it would take up pages and pages of posts. And frankly--personally--- I don't think that you really believe what you post about the environment--you merely employ the standard, tedious conservative line with a little snark against Greta and her "ÍLK' , which is another standard way of conservative behavior these days.

I agree with you for the most part. The biggest effect of overpopulation, at least in the Western US, will be less access to water.

I can't tell if you actually paid attention to what I said in my post. It's like you got triggered on the word "ilk" and everything else went out the window. Ilk is not "snarky", it's a word that means "a type of people or things similar to those already referred to" per the dictionary.

I don't know what else you might have thought but nothing I said came from any political leanings whatsoever. I just laid out the topic in a way I've come to understand it over my decades of observation on the planet. Plus, I don't have the common binary understanding of issues facing us, I don't sign up to either political side, I ignore that aspect. I just look at how things work from a troubleshooting mindset. It annoys many on both sides that I don't blindly align with whatever their mandated stance is on issues, and I get accused of "playing for the other side" by both, but taking political sides isn't productive in my opinion. The people who know how to analyze and compare are the ones who will ultimately solve the issues. Not some politically motivated actions with their underlying ulterior motives masquerading as solutions. Design-build-test, rinse-and-repeat.

I'll also mention that we're being misled on just about every issue. We are often told what to think instead of taught how to think. If you look for this, you'll see it. The performance artists charged with "informing" us know that we can't analyze data so they throw some numbers at us and tell us how to interpret them. And they're beholden to their financiers. It's kinda like the car jumping scenes on Dukes of Hazzard - they fly the car through the air, land, and keep on driving. Most viewers wouldn't pause to consider if that's possible. They just take it at face value and their minds remain in the entertainer's world.

    just a quick question...

Are you fixated on "liberals" and their idiosyncrosies?

    I'll be frank.

You don't seem to be on board.

Climate change is problematic. The people of the world are going to acknowledge that, and Ms. Thunberg; with or without you, Truj

--The dragster has reached 60 mph and is accelerating.

--We need to keep it floored to finish the quarter mile as fast as possible.

    Yeah, super ironic, man!

    Hmm good question...
Are you fixated on derailing conversations with innuendo and personal attacks?

What the hell is "on board"? Repeating what you've been told? In that case, frankly, count me out. I'd rather control my character.
