I just started growing them. i had 11 jars colonizing in a box in the spare bedroom closet for about 2 weeks before my father actually found them. however, he doesnt object, and has some curiosity re: my progress. even if your parents never clean your room, theres still a good chance that during the 3 months of growing, they WILL find it by accident
Well that varies state to state. According to the laws in New Mexico, growing psilocybes for personal use is NOT manufacture of a controlled substance.
All right, shrooms in the folks house is definately doable. But you gotta be smart and you cant halfass it. Growing them in your room is a bad idea. PLAN A: You need to set up a small aquarium, that you can visit every so often and not be noticed, in a place where no one will ever go or see it. There are spots like that in every house. Find that spot. Learn all you need to know and have to get it done. Do it right. PLAN B: Ask your parents if you can grow edible mushrooms, shitake and what not. Sell them on the idea. Then actually learn how to grow gormet mushrooms. Once they get used to it, start off your good mushies. They of course are going to ask you right away if your trying to grow drugs, this is the perfect time to make a joke "hey thats even a better idea mom" and see how they respond. PLAN C: Try outdoors growing. You need to research what ones are suitable to your area, and climate. Research any poisonous look alikes in your area. Cultivating mushrooms outdoors is extreemely difficult, unless you live in the pacific northwest, then dont even bother planting, they are all ready there.
shouldnt be answering this as I did first grow in my rents house, grew them in a bucket under the aquarium in the living room. If you get busted with growing shrooms in your parents house it is the same as getting pulled over with your buddy in the passenger seat with a pocket full of coke, even if you didn't really know you are still fucked. Not you dumbass, your parents! you go to juvie maybe, is all gravey but the people that spawned you get fucked up the ass by the man, wait until college and grow them in your dormroom fridge.
Not if you do it right. Contaminated cakes can make great outdoor beds. Fresh, clean colonized grain works even better. I left my old roommate a present of a Pink Buffalo bed that he's been getting fruits from for 2 years now. You can't just throw some spores on a pile of substrate outside and expect it to grow, though.
No. You can't order the necessary supplies. You can't afford to get caught. Technically speaking your parents would be charged w/ cultivation along w/ when one of your friends rats you out. Then they'll send you to military school where you'll be raped by a drill Sargent. Enjoy that.
I successfully pulled this off when I was 15 in my closet, and I got about an oz harvest (only one jar got contaminated). But after that I stopped because I was getting way to paranoid. I suggest you forget about it because if you get found out (which you prob will) you'll be seriously fucked.
uh, i dont know what kind of climate you live in, but if you have access to fairly private woods, a much better idea is to wait till next year and get some woodloving mushroom species to colonize a healthy bed of woodchips over the summer, and harvest in the fall. they're likely to be much stronger mushrooms anyway, and anyone who would happen to stumble upon the patch would think nothing of it - unlike a terrarium with mushrooms growing in it. it's considered a bit more advanced technique, but it really doesn't sound any harder than growing cubes. also, i'd suggest using a PF tek variant rather than the MMGG. the MMGG is perfectly sound but a bit archaic. more complicated than things need to be. PF tek is much simpler. MMGG remains because it was a vastly influential work, but it's time has essentially passed.
this. i strongly advise to not try cultivation until you have your own place. if you ignore the advice that several people have given, at least take the advice to try proper outdoor cultivation of a wood loving species. it will at least be safer, more discrete.
