Writing songs becomes elementary after you learn basic music theory. It's just chords and scales being played behind them, basically. 6 parts : 1:Introduction 2:Verse 3:Chorus (sometimes there's a prechorus) 4:Bridge 5:Instrumental Solo 6:Ending. Like you asked for that mini-lesson, right? Classical peices are a bit more difficult than rock peices to write, and most classical composers would call that a gross understatement. Writing a quality Symphony or Concerto is a very difficult task, but I guess it's close to as hard to write a catchy, legendary rock song, or to create any type of song in any genre that really captures people's emotions.

I've been playing guitar for about 4 years now. I currently own 3 guitars, a classical acoustic with nylon strings, a jackson kelly, and a cheap jackson. I use my kelly when I'm playing anything in standard or when it needs to sound really good, and the cheap jackson for detuning and such. I've been smoking for probably 3.5 years, and one of the reasons I initially tried it was because of the creative factor. Now I know better

It seems everyone and their mother is playing guitar these days. There should be more like sitar players and all those fucking exotic instruments.
I only play guitar when im in an altered state of mind, and all i do is try to come up with crazy jams.
