Gun ownership itself is a slight mental illness

  1. I will kill you
    You will cry
I will hit you with bullets
    And you will die
    'Cause I'm murdering Andy
    I kill people for fun
    I cut open their bodies
    And watch the blood run
Their guts fall all over the place
And then I take my knife
And I cut off their face
So think twice before you mess with me
    Because I'm a murderer
    Murdering Andy

An elderly couple at a red light late at night
Ain't no cars and nobody in site
I run up, I open the rear door
Two quick slices and they're gone
Real quick slice the neck then i jet
Out the opposite door and off to the next
Walking through darkness covered in stains
I heard this bum say hey you got any spare change
A homeless person doped on rocks
With a shopping trolley living outta a cardboard box
Punched his rat face and I wouldn't stop beating
Watching him swell up his head was mad bleeding
Stomped on his chest crushed his lungs and his ribs
Beat em to death don't need no weapon for this
A witness, a prostitute seen the whole shit
I seen her run for help yeah you better go bitch
I chased her, caught yo youre dead ho!
The fuck you think you're gonna run in stilettos
Ripped the point ass shoes right off her feet
And stuck the heel in her neck until the bitch couldnt breathe!

    Criminals will always have weapons.

    Guns don’t kill, people do

Guns would have stopped Hitler taking over Germany

    *

The gun supporters use the same silly slogans

But they seem to think these dumb one liners have the eloquence and gravitas of Churchillian proportions.

They don’t they are just dumb

Thing is that I know that many of the people here repeating this crap have already been participants in other gun issue threads in hipforums and know that theses arguments are crap.

It seems they can be shown in detail and at length (some thread have gone on for a year or two) and these people will still pump them out as if they were solid edifices of granite rather than moulded faeces.

    Oh well…

And if they have really easy access to guns then….

There is this ‘Murderous Americans’ theory often put up by gun supporters that seems to argue that Americans are so murderous they would be able to kill just as many people with a spoon than with a gun…really.

So the argument goes on - that if you restricted access to guns then you would have to have to restrict access to spoons as well and like that would be stupid…so if it is stupid to restrict spoons then it is stupid to restrict access to guns

    Really

And if people have really easy access to guns then….

Thing is that Hitler was really popular in Gremany and many believed he was defending it against 'enemies of the people' and and the Nazis never restricted access to guns for their supporters.

Someone compared Trump to Hitler but do you know gun ownership is highest amongst those that support Trump and have right wing views

The thing is if you are owning a gun to defend your country against political domestic threats then when do you open fire on police officers, when do you execute your political opponents, when do you begin killing the ‘enemy’.

I mean if someone is saying that the main or one of the main reasons why they want guns is to protect the US from political tyranny, when do they act when do you begin and who would they use their guns on first?

I mean if someone really thought the US was been taken over or invaded by ‘bad people’….or if they though certain politicians or journalists were truly ‘enemies of the people’, then under the banner of defending the country with their gun against such threats - then wouldn’t they be right to act and use their guns?

It’s a matter of ease of access and relative harm – You could hurt someone with a spoon, even kill someone with one but it’s a lot harder to do than with a gun especially a modern gun.

So having ease of access to spoons isn’t a big problem but having ease of access to guns will be.

  9. Nothing is going to be solved until we get to the real root of the problem, which is American society itself.

1 in 3 children are raised without fathers.

Lots of young men are neglected and put on pills they don't need to be on, succumbing to mental illnesses.

One thing all mass shooters have in common is mental illnesses.

ever since i learned that the columbine guy had a brain tumour, i have wondered why they don't routinely do autopsies on the brain of any mass shooter.

    Sounds like a circular argument.

One thing mass shooters have in common is mental illness.
How do we know they're mentally ill?
    Because they're mass shooters.

It's about what can be done to stop mental illnesses from manifesting within an individual.

Stronger families, a sense of belonging, personal empowerment are a good place to start in forming substantial mental health.

Not necessarily, if what Drift alluded to is true and there is physically something wrong with the brain of a mass shooter (like a tumor)

Who's to say what a normal healthy mental state is I reckon. I've spent time around you "normals" and it's been a whack experience. Like yeah, I'm the one fucked in the head. :nomouth:

At a minimum not going off and shooting a bunch of people in a church/school/walmart is mentally healthy.

better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have one.

better to be judged by twelve then carried by six.
