No one here is getting into anything really truelly worth getting into these days.

It takes a very good understanding of the codes, the systems, the networks to hack anything truelly worth it.

You cant just say that I want to become a leet hacker.

First if your hacking learn a language, dont hack and learn. tried that didnt work too well. I could never get the more i wanted.

You have to learn languages know windows like your dick, know linux even better.

NO ONE sees linux coming, it is lurking, you will deny that it is coming, but think what are most of the servers running these days? windows or LINUX?

i was just asking if those things are really possible from people who know alot more than i do, im just interested obviously i know i cant and probably never will do it but is curriousity that bad to be called shit for no reason?

yea my bad man it wasnt at you but I am tired of ALL my friends saying they want to do this.
I went to a laptop school and got into their filesystems which wasnt hard.

So I showed them linux and they just stopped.

 

there is nothing hard about linux, it's open sourced

 

people are scared of not having GUIs and having to use the terminal once in awhile.

 

there was this one time on runescape ( i wasnt there nor even playing it yet, but its recorded and on youtube) when this bunch of ppl hacked so that u can attack people anywhere (not just wilderness), so they killed a bunch of ppl including mods, everyone was going mad while mods were shouting bank your items and logg out and shit. it was crazy, after all those people were banned from the site but still its some awesome shit

 

if you can figure out those 4 stupid drop down menus above, then you can figure out anything.

QFT. A lot of typical script kitties have no idea what Unix entails. And going from one distro to the other, there are a lot of changes. So unless: a) They have a big time grudge, b) They know a lot about your distro.
And since there are so many distros, I doubt just any scriptkitty would ever learn enough to just be able to say, I wanna hack a linux box. And if anyone thinks it's 'easy', go ahead and pm me, and I will give you vital info on my machines.

 

Id disagree. If someone is skilled in an Operating System, a programming language, and networking and they want a file off your machine, or want a file on your machine, the only thing a firewall would let you do if watch them break into your machine. I've seen it done in a matter of minutes. Its scary really.

ps, i just checked back into an old irc network i thought i'd never go to again. the average price for an unchecked cc number runs 5 dollars, unchecked being it may or may not be legit.

A CC # with a valid pin is upwards 3 - 400 dollars.

I saw a few guys selling dump for rather cheap, the price went down last I checked. (A dump is the info on the magnetic stripe of a cc).

DOBs/Drivers license, etc are still around 100 bucks.

A guy tried to offer me a wells fargo login for 125 bucks (usually turns out the the actual account they sold you has been suspended for fraud).

The real cash is in the botnets. People will pay you upwards 20,000 dollars if you can take down a competitors site. True story, my "friend" person a. from europe was offerered 25,000 dollars to take down a competitors website. The website in question? A vaccuum cleaner distributor. Crazy shit.

 

Nearly impossible unless you have years and years of hacking experience. Not only that, but all of those are GREAT ways to get arrested and thrown in prison for a long long time. Posting that you are becoming a hacker or are a hacker is also a good way to get on the govt watch list.

Note: I do not hack nothing. The only reason I know any of this is because I know a few hackers, including a guy who used to go to my school but is now back in Germany. He could hack into people's computers.

 

Why do you need to see it? Runescape was a crappy game.
