Thanks for acknowledging my post, Tarantism. I may have misread what you were trying to say. Normally some might take offense to my blunt comments about the herd mentality among hippies, but we must be cautious because the whole point in being a hippie is to preserve individuality and promote self-growth (I hope!). Hippie fashion and ideas are well and good, but you have to be true to yourself: you have to think for yourself and acknowledge when your nature and ideas are opposed to the group. That's why I detest the political forums here so much: you have people who use the same phrases, and seem to hate the same groups of people (especially republicans). They seem to think alike and fall into the very stereotypes we are talking about, when in theory hippies should be more modest and removed from the corrupt activities of all political parties -- unless, being true to oneself, one is a firm believer in a party, but in this case there should be more variety in opinions than we witness. The irony here is that we seek to maximize our humanity by joining a group -- to fulfill our very human desire for community, and thus live -- and yet, when we mimic the stereotypes the way we do, often subconsciously, we dehumanize ourselves by removing our individuality.
never done hallucinogens. buts the drugs i have done, help me understand other people, and what their feeling and might be thinking, and have made me be more considerate and basically have made me be a nicer person because of this. i can now understand that calling somone 'fat' or 'ugly' will have a cataclismic reaction in their brain and give them issues for the rest of their life. drugs have made me whant to say nice things (not fake things) or refrain from saying that nasty comment as i understand the brain ,wa. to make people feel good and arhh, waves of poppy seed tea, i cant complete this. you know what i mean
There are plenty of simple answers to that many common folk are stupid, plain and simple. Common sense is now referred to as nerdy. The average Joe on this site is tripping not get fucked up, rather to explore the depths of the human psyche. In my opinion, using one self as a guinea pig in psychological experimentation is not exactly very smart on a common sense scale, the desire to learn about the depths of ones own mind is the point that turns up more intellectuals here......do stupid wanksters love learning? you tell me.
