and if that poor creature did lose its tail, that would explain to me why it looked so haunted. I know I said the headlights glowed its eyes sinister before, but really, they were haunted and afraid... so I guess I am getting into sadness is now...
cats and other furry things, playing and chaising and making up amusements for themselves, always a smile. they love to chaise little wadded up bits of paper. well they're each different, but where i last lived, they did. and there was a place, maybe there still is, where you could get something like catnip scented post it notes. little post it sized pads of them.
Happiness is spending the day on the lake or a day in the woods with my son. Away from society as we know it today. That's happiness.
[further to Pete's post] - being able to GIVE that assistance;rewarded NOT with money, but with genuine, priceless smiles....
best feeling in the world, right up there with creating and exploring, being able to do something good or helpful for someone else.
Happy fool's day, fools... Stan fooled me..He came in after being outside with Moxy, complaining that Moxy was eating a dead skunk and she stank badly and would need to be bathed....He fooled me. I fell for that...I am trying to think of how I can get even for that one now.
Oh, perfect....no sooner did I write that and Stan came running down with his shirt off asking me if there was a tick on his back, as he felt something there...and I said..."yes, where's your tweezers. I will get it out..." He started to go back upstairs for the tweezers and I yelled..."APRIL Fools!' Perfect....lol There was no tick on his back.

My 90+ year old neighbor across the street is back home from the hospital..... living independently and in good health. Wife made a weeks worth of chicken/wild rice soup for him. Edit: couldn't spell chickN.
a pug and their humor, and they are the funniest dogs ...and I know all too well about those stings of theirs.....knock me out, why don't you? but mine.....no no.....I am not carrying them on any walks, unless I have to to make them come inside from a few feet away.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPVUI1278a4
happiness is the second greatest treasure in all of existence. the greatest would be a world in which no one was ever robbed of it. such a world would require no more then the logic of consideration.
Licking both beaters from the bowl of mixed cream cheese frosting batter. Wife's cake never looked so good!!
not depending on people nor possessions for it and easy walk, through a garden, from a strange little house, to a place where a strange little train stops, when you need to go get something, or just feel like taking a nice little walk or ride. the air filled with fresh breazes, sweet smells, and harmless little invisible spirits.
Happiness are turtles. I love turtles....Yesterday, there was one crossing the road here, and we had to stop the car to let him or her pass. He or she was a baby, i am sure, as he or she was pretty small compared to how big turtles usually are on the roads here. I got out of the car with the cell phone camera trying to grab a photo and this was the best i could do....as here, it had reached the high grasses on on the other side of the dirt road and was moving too quickly. I did not know what I was looking at so i did not want to keep chasing it to get a better photo in the high tick laden grasses. i think it was the Eastern Box car turtle, but am not sure still....My photo which is crap... and then one of the box car from google....
