Oh what? Had to come in - the old eyes are starting to close - caught sleeping in the garden with book open? I would never live it down! Anyway I've moved ordinary bread making up from tomorrow to today and I'll stick a sundried tomato and onion quiche in the oven at the same time. That should keep me awake for a while.

 

Oh man I just wrote a big piece and it's gone to that big black hole in cyberspace that has my name written over it in big neon letters! Anyway had to come in - eyes were closing - and would I ever live down being caught sleeping in the garden with my book open in front of me? I think not! Getting my old banger scrapped today after it broke down on sunday in the middle of the m25 (motorway) and was smoking, thick black smoke, was in the middle lane surrounded by 70mph traffic!! scary stuff! But i died my hair nice and bright to make up for it

Hehe etherea its so hard to be mad at monsoon with those big eyes. i can get another pair of good hemp sandles just about anywhere. i've mixed up the brownies three big pans worth. the one with the toothpick has some special ingredients Hope everyone is having a good day.

Just do it! I'm not a big fan of shoes. The only thing here is the pavement is too hot right now to be without footwear but morning and evening perfect. Just watch out for blisters. Stick a pair of flipflops or something in your bag. I'll save you a "special" brownie for when you come back! And oh, dog shit! Nothing quite like it squelching between your toes

Probably! And the forecast has just given us an orange alert for higher temps for the next few days. You just kind of get used to doing everything important in the morning or evening.

 

Wish I could go barefoot! Too much broken glass and dog shite round here though

 

Okay so I walked barefoot to the cash-machine and then to the off-license to get 3 cans of beer.I must have walked about 1/3 of a mile.Some bits of the pavement were rougher than others.My feet are a bit sore now - but it felt liberating.I might do this more often but will carry a pair of sandals in my bag for when the going gets rough...

 

I got mo blues than shoes...

 

I only own 3 pairs of shoes and I really only wear one pair, I don't have summery/sandle type shoes, just a pair of knee high biker boots, some wellies and some DMs. Summer i just wear my boots until I get to where im going then go barefoot I don't really like shoes
