Jeepers Mama hope everyone gets better. Maybe BabyP needs an i.v. to get her back to hydrated? Idk when my daughter went thru that we made icecubes out of pedialyte and gatorade putting tooth picks in the cubes she would took to them and it helped get fluids back in her. Many blessings for her to get better quickly.
Moma keep in touch with the MDs. If you can get BabyP into a tub of cool water. This will help hydrate her because one absorbs water through the skin and the coolness should lower her temperature. She's in my prayers...
Yes! Popsicles may entice BabyP to get some fluids in her! MamaP, if need be, a catheter can be used to get a urine specimen. Don't stay home with her just because you can't get the specimen. Hoping she starts to improve today!
I just came in and read about babyp.. Watermelon Seed tea. Boil a hand full of watermelon seeds about 3 minutes and then simmer for 3 minutes. Let cool.. add a wee bit of honey and freeze into pops or ice try. give her as much as she wants. Sending loving healing energy to babyp and mamap
Were at the hospital but my phone will die soon so I'll update you. She needs blood tests and they want to put a tube down her throat to feed her still won't drink anything or produce samples. I've been given a syringe to feed her this sugary substance with but she's not having it at all, she will not open her mouth, only way its getting in is when she cries she's had about 2oz of fluids in the past 24 hours and she hasn't gone once either so looks like its dehydration This is so unfair, she's only a baby
Hang in there mama, it will be alright. Dont fret.. love is strong medicine, just give her love and support, sooth her, sing to her.
Bloods fine She has a drip in her arm for fluids, we've been admitted over night but theres a computer here. Pretty much just waiting on this sample now, she seems herself again, she just won't eat or drink!
Oh poor Baby P, I just caught up with this. Hopefully the hospital will get to the bottom of this and she will be fine. Big hugs to you.
 love you guys, always cheer me up! She's fast asleep, nurses are checking her every hour or so to make sure the drips working okay, i got a bed right next to her holding her hand took her a while to get to sleep, poor things been tormented all day being held down and having needles put in her. They gave me some bubbles to blow for her in the morning because its her favourite thing and they gave her a little teddy bear who is watching over her! My bad sleeping habits mean I'll be up all night so I'm just twist and ripping my dreads and being online for now! I thought id try meditating but the atmosphere isn't too calm, lots of beeping machines.. How is everyone else?
We've been out to the local Farm Show and I've spent the afternoon stroking goats and talking to chickens.
A bear to watch over her is good. My ex gave me a little Paddington bear as a totem to guard me on my trip to Europe named Edgar. Twice the Paris police backed off on searching me and my medice pouches when they came to Edgar.
One of the chickens was really interested in what I had to say and kept turning her head from side to side listening to me. She had laid an egg in her cage. The goats were gorgeous and I was scratching them behind the ears just like you do with dogs. We didn't really bother with the cows because there's a field full of them across the road from our house and my legs were hurting by that time.
You should of brought us back a new goat friend to be monsoon and starlights friend (did you know they are having a baby!)
Morning all, good update, she has woken up wet which is exactly what we wanted. Still on the drip for now and has a high temp of 40.2 celcius but she's had some medicine and hopefully we can get the samples we need today and get the little lady drinking properly We had a pretty rough night, she had to sleep in a metal cot/crib but she isnt used to sleeping alone because we bedshare at home but after lots of waking up I ended up bringing her in the bed with me and she managed to sleep well and the nurses werent too bothered by it. She's currently looking very upset lying next to me, watching kids tv, she hates the drip in her arm because she's not allowed to run around or anything and she keeps trying to rip it out! But, a more positive day
That's very good news, Mama! I'm sure you feeling a little less worried now that she is getting re-hydrated. 40 degrees celcius = 104 fahrenheit. Hopefully that will begin to come down some. Hang in there and give her a kiss from me!
I'm glad Babyp is a bit better this morning. One thing about kids is they do tend to recover from stuff quite quickly.
