One thing you can do to keep the tree upright is to put a wire or string around it about halfway up, then put two small eye hooks in the wall on either side of it and wire it to the walls...trust me...I've been there many times, lol

Or, put the baby fence around the tree!

 

Tbaby fence is a great idea. With 6 cats and a tree I keep a plant spray bottle with a weak mix of vinegar & water handy.:2thumbsup:

 

I did this in a corner. Somehow, I tacked it to the wall...depends on the fence and how much it's going to get pulled on. I think I did it more to keep the puppy from tearing the packages open during the particular year I'm remembering. It looked pretty cute. It was an old wooden, folding baby fence.

 

My crew of kitties would figure out how to disassemble all of those deterrents and drag the tree into the kitchen or some such. Freaky bunch they are.

 

I had a kitty who watched me wrap presents and put them under the tree. When I got up the next morning I found 7 socks under the tree. She'd gone to the laundry room and gotten "gifts" and placed them under the tree.

I dont have a baby fence, weve got gates but they are attached specifically onto door frames and are made to fit.. new cat has about 6 different names, I think I'll just keep it as that and call her whatever suits her at the time
