yum.. organic wholemeal bread. It was easy to buy it 'back in the day', but is getting hard to find. The answer is make it yourself..

  2. I only have store bought bread in the freezer for emergencies i.e. not enough heat to prove the dough. Luckily my terrace is south facing so generally it's ok! New curtains for our house Still? Have you seen those things that are laughingly called curtains in the big kitchen? I'm planting spring bulbs out back if anyone wants to get their hands dirty.

I'll give you a hand with the bulbs Etherea! I love flowers and spring flowers are the best. I think our eyes get starved for colour during the winter, so we really need spring flowers.

Yep, I make our own bread because at least I know what's in it and the price of food keeps going up and up. I reckon that homemade bread is about a third the price of store-bought and the smell when it's in the oven.... All that kneading the dough is good exercise!

The curtains are coming along nicely. Just about to start working on the lining tomorrow.

Tiger, do you think there's enough people here for a party?

The picture on my signature, I think is taken in Canada, I just love the picture and it's how I think our house should be!

do you all know what I mean??
    anyway..i'm in for a party...but..
we need a crowd like in the old days..
where is this crowd??are they just very happy???or very down??
oh..I'm ranting..forget about it..get on with your life...

  5. Me and Stillcrazy are going to plant the garden. Roamy's around somewhere tending goats. Jack's reappeared. You're here Tiger. We could plan a wee soirée for a couple of days time and see who turns up. I know that Shameless and Kenny are busy with "church" business but you never know.

So should we just go for it and see what happens? I think Ranger still pops in every so often as well.

  7. Oh shit! I know Ranger comes by but for the life of me couldn't remember his name even though I know his wife is Rita - how embarrassing is that? Shit! Yeah why not? I have to go out right now but I will hopefully see details tomorrow when I return. Enjoy the rest of your evening peeps :seeya:

I have an apartment almost across the street from the old house so I get to see it every morning...

Not sure what I will be doing in the long run... At leased I had insurance.

It doesn't look like it can be salvaged... It's going to have to come down. Insurance has settled for the house, they are still waiting on the personal property. Some of those guitars I lost are priceless hand made guitars, not sure what they are going to do for that.

Think I'm gonna find something better elsewhere.

So sorry about your guitars Ty. I really hope you can find somewhere better to live that will make you happier. You are going through difficult times, but there will be a silver lining, I'm sure.

I've been really busy today, barely had time to sit down, let alone going online. I'm still up for a party when I've got a few minutes. What kind of party should we have?

House party? Why not an outdoor party.
    :D

  18. I think that thermal underwear is the clue :freezing: Most of our parties have been outside so a wee change of venue me thinks. It's just a suggestion anyway, open to discussion. ;)
