The day I found my dad's porn in the back of the attic was the greatest day of my life. It was something else... The worst day of my life was when I found my mom's porn... ...it was in the back of that video store... ...That's not my joke---it was a standup comedian. But I thought it was pretty funny. I tried to read your blog, but I couldn't on this computer----the letters blend in too well with that background.
I`ve been on this forum for two + years now, and I`ve never wandered into this thread. Wow, I had no idea what I was missing. There is so much love here....this is what I live for. Love, kindness, friendship, happiness. Big and beautiful hugs to everyone here.
^^^^^^^ A room? I don't need my own room! I'd be thrilled if we all got out our sleeping bags and had a slumber party in the living room!
we will have a *slumber* party in your room then,Ash...we are all looking forward to slumber with you...whatever that means(ahah) I believe Ash can be very naughty sometimes...but...I like it... :bulb: :dizzy2:
I wasn't trying to be naughty! I just had this nice vision of us sitting around, chatting, relaxing, in Jammie's....I was a nice thought... You're right though, I do have a naughty side. I try and keep it under wraps here, though. The operative word being " try".
there is no big harm in being naughty from time to time...I can be... :dizzy2: i have a feeling this thread is getting a boost thanks to Ash...oh yeah... we have to get Pressed Rat into this thread...wooohh...
I hope everyone has a beautiful day! Today, the wind is blowing strong and the rain is coming down sideways! I look forward to dusting off my rain boots, digging out my most sturdy umbrella, and venturing out into the world. The weather might be ugly in this moment, but there is still so much beauty to be taken in, everywhere I look. I encourage you to find beauty in something "ugly" today. For beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and cannot be judged objectively.
You know Old Tiger, your trip to Japan just wasn't complete-----what you were missing was the perfect guide. I could have been that perfect guide----just remember, for your next venture into the Orient. It would have been very cheap for you----and well worth it. You simply would have had to pay for round trip tickets from Denver here in the US, and lodging. ...Oh, and of course food and drink. ...and entrance fees and transportation----look at it this way, you would only be paying half the fare for the taxis, since we would split it in half (but then you would pay my half too, but it would only be half the fare for you---what a savings!!!) ...oh yes, and then souvenirs for my family---they all want souvenirs (but not those cheapy touristy ones, you know...) I have a big family, but… But it would be great! We would eat the finest food! There would be that one night in Osaka when I lead you down a shady alleyway, and we get involved with some scary characters that are obviously yakuza. It would be exciting! Then some things happen, you wouldn't really know what is going on because you don't speak Japanese (all the more exciting). I take off running, the Osaka Prefectural Police show up and arrest you, where you are detained overnight. But since you have no idea what happened or what is going on, they would release you the next morning. They assume you were just a clueless tourist in the wrong place at the wrong time---what an adventure! But don't worry I'd be there at the hotel room once you got back (that's right---no capsule hotels---with me you'd stay in great places). You would notice that some of your things were missing, but its ok----I would convince you that I pawned them to bail you out of jail. A part of you might be pretty sure that the Police just let you go-----but don't worry, I would convince you that I had actually put up bail for your release. (If only you could speak Japanese…) In Kyoto I'd wake you up early---I need money for the girl I had spent the night with in the room. You act surprised----but yeah, you were out like a light. But shortly before we leave for sightseeing, there is a phone call. I quickly have you gather up your things and we rush out of the hotel, all of our luggage in hand. We have to cut our Kyoto visit short. Don’t worry, at the train station I find a post card of Kiyomizudera, and Kinkakuji to show you what you would have seen. Sorry---no postcards of Ninnaji. But seriously, you see one temple, you’ve seen them all, right? But hey, now we’ve got a side trip to Nagoya and there will be some really cool things to see there, like… Well, I’ve never been there. In all my years of living in Japan Nagoya never offered anything interesting enough to get me to go, but… Later on the train I finally confide in you----that girl was underage. But wow, she looked and acted so mature, right? Anyway… Wait----when you registered at the hotel, you… I mean, you are traveling under a fake name and passport right? Maybe I should have said something earlier, but… Sitting on the train here, I can see you are starting to have second thoughts about having hired me as your guide-------well don’t worry, I will make it up to you----I’ll give you an experience you’ll never forget… I will tell more of the great fun we are having together as you continue with your blog… (No----I would never do that to anyone-----but it’s a fun story to make up.)
ahah..that's what i call a posting,Wolf..but...let me also tell you something...in Osaka the yakuza are very famous...and when we were in a hotel... i met a local yakuza fellow...full of tattoos on his back...who's that dude who's with you?he asked..I said..it's a tour guide from the USA.. who knows bit more from Japan then me...the yakuza fellow said...bullshit..he can never know Osaka or Kyoto like I know...I'll be your tourguide... I showed him my tattoos...and he said..you're my brother,matey..suddenly 2 chicks came in the bar where we were having saké and Japanese whisky...these 2 chicks introduced themselves and said...my name is Ash,the other one was Mattekat..good heavens...all the Japanese chicks in that bar got jealous..: :dizzy2: the Yakuza fellow had an eye for Mattekat, because with her eye make up she looked bit like a Japanese geisha(ah)..i said==watch out==this chick(Kat)is not an easy one...Kat said to the yakuza dude..get lost,my friend==i choose my company as I like it(will be continued)
I'm sorry this happened to you. Hugz. It's like, when I make stove top popcorn, but I put too much salt on it, and then its just popcorn that wasn't like I thought it would be.
so,me,Wolf,Ash and Kat decided to travel a bit through Japan together... this Ash chick always smiles, and is very outgoing and full of jokeful attitude... she had coloured her hair in the hotel in multicolours...the Japanese men went nuts.. we got rid of that yakuzi fellow because he went bit too crazy about Kat...he was a dork anyway.. now Kat...that's another story..she knows the art of eye shadow, colours etc... every day she surprised us with a different look..very outgoing kind of a girl she is,smiles a lot as well... Wolf was a good guide though...he knows bit about Japan because he lost his heart there once... he likes to talk a lot...about past days :argue: but he looks into the future as well we decided to stay 2 days more in Osaka..and go for an evening out in Osaka's Dotombori neighbourhoud... now going out with Wolf and these 2 chicks..that's something i remember still.. Kat saw a store with lipstick and we barely could get her out there==she wanted to buy the whole store..crazy Kat.. Ash wanted some high heels ..but Wolf said...no..it's not good to walk around in Osaka on high heels... we had some food in a sushi bar=shashima, soy sauce, gosh that wasabi is strong..Ash couldn't take it..she started sneezing... so...we end up in an Irish bar first..few pints of beer to get into the mood...that Ash...she stole the show with her hair.. and Kat...well..they took her for a Japanese with her eye shadow..we were in good company...oh yeah... so we ended up in Captain Kangaroo bar near Osaka JR station..lots of expats,Japanese etc...and good music...(will be continued) P.S..I wanna hear Wolfs,Ash and Kat's side of this little story as well...it will keep this thread alive...wanna make a bet? :bandana: Ash and Kat in Japan...oh..
Here is what threw me off - I have an incredibly HIGH spice tolerance...and I couldn't handle a tiny bit of wasabi..... What the heck?
i was talking to an american with Japanese roots. he was talking about a trip to japan and he tried some of the spicy foods there, i knew before he told me this story that he did indeed love spicy foods. so he is in the restaurant and the waiter asks him if he wants hot or extra hot. he tells the waiter he wants the extra hot. the waiter tells him "no you just want regular hot" my friend again says "no i want the extra hot" to this the waiter replied. "let me ask you a question. do you want it hot going in or do you want it hot coming out of you?" my friend says. "ok i will take the regular hot".
