Have you ever been raped?

I heard from a former girlfriend, who's been raped, that 1 in 4 women are raped. I believe she was speaking of early 90s U.S.A.


I haven't researched it, but that sounds pretty extreme. And yet, this is how brutal and poor men-women relations are in this society.

A word of empathy to BellaDona and Clementinoexo: I hope you guys can continue to live life in all its exuberance despite such rough challenges as you two have faced.

I'd heard it was something like 1 in 4 are sexually abused (not necessarily rape, but, still not a good thing), and 1 in 10 are actually raped. But, that could easily be wrong.

And eechi - what about when the abuse occurs before school starts? Sometimes it's a stupid situation to be in, but sometimes it's nigh on impossible to avoid. I have protective parents, but I've still been sexually abused.

Thats because it was her fault.
She chose to go to the dodgey party, no one picked her up and carried her in. No one literally shoved a joint in her mouth and forced her to down some alchohol. All of that lead up to the rape, it wasnt all her fault but a lot of it was. Your the fucking dumbass! :$

as for the situation, that is a complete bastard. the thought of rape makes me sick to the stomach. i think you were a little foolish to get high or off your head and go to the woods with this guy, but maybe he was misleading until late on.

statisticaly it may be 28% but thats way off
its much closer to 50% of women havebeen raped in 1 form or another..that is the sickest statistic imaginable..it doesnt mean that 50% of men are rapist...but it is a fact that should make every man ashamed & question himself constantly about how everything he says or does affects the women around him..

how doiknow this 50% is about right? 2 reasons..inoticed about hmm 20 years ago that i just had this empathic thing where i could be tal;king to someone & kinda pick up on it..even tothe point of somehow sometimnes just knowing details even withfairly accurate..just impressions iuguess..ofcourse its not always..but is often..that & for some reason many..even some very shortly after wed just met...had just trusted me totalk about it..even when theyd never told anyone b4..
sowhen i was sitting in a circle with about 60 or so sistyers and this question was brought up..in a way that they felt safe to let it be known they had been..half had admitted they had been..half.. thats a really fucked up fact..are there 4 women inyour family? would you even know wich 2 may have been?
