Thankfully I've never been raped and I hope it's something that I never have to go thru. To be honest, I don't think anyone I know has ever been raped unless thay just never wanted to talk about it. I don't think anyone can really comprehend what it's like unless it's happened to you. It's not right for us to judge anyone either, maybe going to a party at 13 and getting messed up wasn't a great idea, but I doubt she thought she was going to get raped; nobody really thinks something so horrible can happen to them. It also doesn't matter what race you are, how strict your parents are or how much money you have, rape can happen to anybody. This might sound silly, but this is why I don't want to have any girls, b/c I'm scared something like this could happen to her. We live in a pretty messed up world and no matter how hard we try to protect our children it just never seems like enough.

 

There is nothing you can do excpet not have children. There is no way you could protect them 100% unless you kept them in the house at all times.
No she probably wasnt thinking she could get raped at that party, but isnt 13 a bit young to be illegally drinking alchohol and taking drugs?

It's his immaturity unfortunately, or rather the lack thereof. It's bad enough that he's admitted to knowing nothing about the subject, but then feels that it's perfectly ok to criticise others concerning rape. But then to keep going on repeating the same things when everybody is disagreeing with him, well he obviously doesn't want to learn anything about the subject... so why ask in the first place?

You don't need the maturity of a thirty year old to know how to treat people with respect, in fairness. But i'm not going to have a go at you anymore, and i shouldn't beat you with the "maturity" stick cos i hate that term, it's meaningless really.
