They check at the "lady doctors" if you want them to, every 6 months

Does a yeast infection count as an STD?
Or are we talking something more along the lines of herpes and the like?

I did once in my early 20s. It's no fun having a Doc put a couple Qtips up my dick.

At least every few months. Sometimes more depending on my "activities" ;).

I'm pretty good about testing, I go once every 3 months or so, last year I got tested 5 times.

I think testing is going to be the new front against STDs for this new "AIDS is not a death sentence" generation, who are probably not going to use condoms as often if they are using another form of birth control (pill, etc.).

No, fortunately I have never been infected :)

Do you ever engage in unprotected sex? Yes
    How old are you? 23
How many sexual partners have you had? 100+
Are you a sexually promiscuous person, or are you more sexually monogamous? I think the previous answer takes care of this one

I do get screened regularly, as do all my regular partners and members of the groups I play with, and I know a few people who have contracted one thing or another, some worse than others. I have also put a quick hiatus on a few hookups where I discovered reason to be suspicious. I love sex but I can walk away easily enough if circumstances merit it, I would like to keep my clean record intact :)

No, a yeast infection should not be classified as an STD.

What about what I said about myself. Under your thread's definition does that count or not?

No, you even said yourself it wasn't an STD/STI.

I know. But idk it's your thread your definitions. So I thought I'd ask.

I honestly think I picked up an infection from a toilet seat or something.
Google results and the doctor at the time said it could've been an e-coli bacterium infection.

I thought this said "have you ever had STP".

Having read it properly, I have no more interest.

Yea, but even if it was an actual STD I'd still say that doesn't count. Then you're getting into a grey area of contracting an STD without any sexual activity. Everyone's going to have a different view as to whether something like that should count.

Really, the thread is asking if you've ever contracted an STD as a result of sexual activity with someone.

Nope. Neither me, nor my girlfriend have ever had STD's, and both of us have engaged in unprotected sex with random hookups on several occasions. I suspect that the risks are either a bit overstated, or mainly confined to a certain type of people you would generally know to stay away from with a little bit of common sense, e.g. the trashiest looking woman in the bar. Of course it's better to have knowledge that your partner is clean rather than rely on luck, but that's not always how it ends up in a real life situation between two horny people.
