Have you ever rode or driven an “exotic car” before?

I described a ride in a friends Ferrari as like being dragged down a mountain track on my bare ass.

I will settle for my Audi A6 any day. I wonder whether 285,000 miles on the original clutch was a record.?

 

yup. i forget the name, but was nearly identical, and yes, in exxonn's fleet. also had problems of instability in its neutral gas pressure safety system.
i thing the valdez event had happened just a couple of months prior. so everybody was really conscious of bringing safety systems up to standards.

oh speaking of cars, i got to ride quite a few times in a little two seat austin martin belonging to a member of a rail fan organization and major participant in a restoration project for a local narrow gauge railway that had been defunct for a couple of decades. they have a museum now, but not much of the right of was has been salvaged from realestate developers. when i was in high school it was still possible to walk most of it.
