Considering I've only slept with two guys my entire life and it was always protected (until recently with my fiance), no. I can't imagine it is any fun waiting for results, though I commend those who go through it. It makes the world a little safer.
Yeah I wonder how that can even be accurate? I probably wouldn't trust the mouth swab, I'd get a second test with the mouth swab. Just because I don't know how it works.
never. ive only had sex with one guy though, unprotected a couple times (i was on the pill). probably should at some point.
lot of times...every time i gave blood...every time i had surgery...... most blood work from my doctor also screens for hiv in ontario i dont think you can have surgery without one
Well, I got mine today and am still HIV Neg. Not entirely done yet. It has been exactly a month today that I had a membrane tear accident that could have exposed me if my partner was infected. He says he's neg, but does occasionally do at-risk stuff (like one month ago today ) so just to be sure I am getting tested. The window period is 3 weeks to 3 months - so in a couple of months I will get tested again just as confirmation, but it is likely antibodies would have formed by now if I were. Good news for my fuck buddy, but I am going to try to convince him to get tested regularly.
I've been tested twice.. 'cause I had unprotected sex with a stripper.. luckily for me I was clean both times. Just have good luck in this area I guess
AIDS and HIV actually are very different. Despite it's unpopularity, there is much evidence that suggests that AIDS could be caused not by poor management of HIV - but be something happening on a more individual basis (including possibilities that certain medicines or chemicals when combined with HIV is what causes AIDS). To think of HIV and AIDS as the same thing, is to support the chosen ignorance of the medical community. I've never been tested. Me and my girlfriend are each others' onlies.
