Yes, you have done the research, as in what the media (which serves to lie and mislead) tells you is gospel fact. Reading the newspaper and repeating what you read is your idea of research.

Again, I have no reason to suspect that anything I posted is a lie. I have read enough of the bill to know it's bad and that no exaggeration is required.

Now if there is an individual point you would like to refute, then go ahead and do it. Otherwise you're just babbling.

Maybe I should preface every post I make with "the media is full of lies, but this story has some truth in it"? You know the way you issue yourself an exemption every time you use 'the media'?

Odon made a claim. He was unable to provide evidence for that claim. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and agreed that there may be some things that are wrong, as I have not read every single page of the bill (nor have you or Odon). I was being HONEST. I could have said "yeah, it's all true," but that would be disingenuous. What I HAVE checked out seems to in fact be accurate, so therefore I have no reason to suspect the rest of it is wrong. However, I cannot say with certainty until I examine the bill with more detail, which I will do when I have the time. That's why people need to research for themselves and not depend on what any one person tells them. It's common fucking sense.

Oh you've yet to learn the expectations of threads in the politics section.

For the record I think a single payer system would be a terrible idea.

I was just pointing something out which you agreed with.
I didn't post anything more because I didn't have time.
I said I will be back today, here I am.
I didn't say I had read every page...(edit) but I AM reading it as we speak.

Why not just post the parts you HAVE checked out and not some glib copy and paste that 95464623466 other lazy buggers have posted here there and everywhere.
Why not alter the tone so it is apparent you are just asking people to think for themselves, rather than what you have said is true, and like, Hip' says, walk away from when proved wrong.
Like I said the other day, I don't like ragging on you about the WAY you post, I'd rather rag on you about WHAT you post...so it would be nice if you posted your OWN opinions and stood behind them...
When/If you sort out the points you HAVE checked out, perhaps then we can talk further...:)

I think the term "bickering" would suffice.

True. But it is hard to talk when Rat posts these types of things and says these types of things all the friggin time.
I'm darn sure if he didn't go on auto-pilot we'd get a lot further.

Well he claimed you were cutting and pasting other people's writings as you own and that you couldn't back them up, and it turns out he was right on both counts.
Sorry who gets the benefit of the doubt here? You are posting things other people said that you haven't even bothered to verify.
Its not that you haven't read every single page of the bill, you haven't even the parts you are lecturing us about.
After you were exposed you confessed, honesty counts for a lot less when it only comes out when you are busted.
No it would have been futile.
Why not just stick with the parts you checked?
You mean until you get the next email that gives you what you want to hear, which is your definition of truth?
But that's exactly what you did - you didn't research for yourself, and you did depend on what one person told you.

No one really knows who Rat is, so I am not sure rather or not he's fat, but I am beginning to think he's republican.

I say let's vote up or down on a single payer plan. Then no one had to download or read this pork.

We don't have to view Pharma sponsored ads, we don't have to watch Palin drag her kid around. Up or down then we know who to vote for.

I am not a koolaid drinker like you, Gardener. I see Obama as no different than Bush. A turncoat is a turncoat, irregardless of which corporate-run party they belong to. Being critical of Obama does not make somebody a Republican.

Not even a lemonade drinker, and never been to Jonestown. Don't like sweet drinks.

Our president has only been in office less than seven months, hard to know exactly what direction he's taking.

As to rationing, the private insurance companies already ration base on nothing more than the bottomline. And we pay them month after month not knowing if they are going to deny coverage. Talk about a bad investment. Been a lot of talk about what a bad investment social security is, anyone done a study on how much is spent on health care compared to what subscribers receive in return?

Why can't we have the same healthcare as the UK, France, Canada, and Cuba? And more to the point why can't we pay the same price for American drugs (subisdized by taxpayer dollars) for the same prescription as these countries?

The main thing left out of the discussion isn't preventive care, it's that every individual is a human being worthy of respect and consideration. That's something the insurance companies left out of their equations.

Preventative care, can't you see whole new industries springing up to make us thinner...but I bet they offer no guarrantees or measurable results. But vaccinate your 12 year old daughter she'll be one less, if she has sex (but don't consider sex with twelve year olds is illegal) or is predisposed to cervical cancer, in the meantime you're out the the cost of the multiple vaccinations, and have to watch the obnoxious advertising. But that's preventative. And instead of the drug companies paying for the ads the taxpayers will.

Today not all insurance companys pay for Gardasil I would bet under the new reforms it will be. A win win for Big Pharma and the Insurance Industry. At 360.00 a head quite a coup.
