sometimes we need to know when to let people go. Suffering is not a quality of life.

A bad cough would be a sad way for him to go tho.

I'd have wrapped him in tin foil. And entered him in Robot Wars...

But he's looked like shit for decades.Doesn't necessarily mean someone's suffering tho..

Its like these nuts at hospitals try and force people's families to sign do not resucitate forms on ANYONE over 70 yrs.

Thats just another form of murder.

I've met 70 year olds at kung fu who are fitter than anyone I've ever met.

There is one thing Hawkings said in one of his books that immediately stuck me as odd and naive. He says something about how he and prostitutes are examples of people who love what they do for a living. It seemed both odd that he thinks that prostitute love what they do for a living, and almost more odd that he wouldn't think that was a strange thing to say. Seemed like a child-like social view somehow.

Many physicists tend to be rather naïve when it comes to real-world solutions, as if the world’s problems can be solved with applied mathematics :(

apply the right formula and out comes the solution - not gonna happen

Wasn't his (ex?) Mrs accused of beating him up and shit?
As for the hookers stuff, that sounds sortof like he's saying sthg strange...LOL

But make no mistake he is a true genius. The thing is, his science won't get into the public domain for a lonnngggg time.Much too destabilising.
Maybe thats a shame about the powers that be?
Maybe its a shame about the maniacs who might misuse it?

Personally I think Hawkins wanted to model himself on Davros from Dr Who...:p
