If all of these groups would just lose their boner for messing with Israel the International Community would not let Israel attack. Why should they when the world can't control Iraeli aggression? They are allowed to run over peaceful American citizens with bullodozers, they have for years held the Palestian people under unreasonable curfews and restraints. We never hear of the atrocities they commit. We label all arabs and muslims as terrorists, but when Israel kills innocent people, they are justified.

The point being, that you seem to have overlooked - If Syria isnt strong enough in the muslim world to have influence over the politics in the middle east - then it will be shown as a weak country - if Syria does the wests bidding and can influence middle east politics in favour of the west it will be seen as weak by the middle east and will be rendered an outsider by the muslim world - like saudi
The whole point being that they are going to play Syria for a fool at the UN

well they know Syria will not do that -1) because it cant and 2) because it will not - its a ploy to get syria to re-affirm its position on the war
GW says if they cant be with us they are irrelevent and we show them as against us - well if youre not with us youre against us
if they are with us, GW will say, then the muslim world is against them
