Things still may have a ways to go before they really start to unravel, but it's hard to say if it's going to be months or years.

 

I see it as this. If I stocked up a little extra with items that I will use and that can be stored, buy items that I will use, cut my bullshit spending, keep my money tied up into needs items and not wants then I made no mistake een if nothing happens. I will have food for later, items I will use anyway and my money tied up into such things that I and others need like investing into seed and ect for food crops and propigation of wildlife for food sources, items for preperation and storage of wildlife (smokers, dehydrator ect)

I would always own guns becuase I like them. I would not tell another to buy one, its a decision based on your own beliefs. Buying a gun out of fear is sadly a piss poor reason to buy one and that is likely gonna be a mistake. If you dont know guns well and only have it for "protect" you might just get shot with your own gun.

I would say if you need a gun for survival then a .22 rifle has done the job for years and ammo is cheap still. Its good for squirrel, rabbit, groundhog, turkey, dove, quail, chucker, duck, goose and even deer if your good enough.

 

Exactly.. A lot of very successful people got their break in the depression. Right now the system is rigged only the few make it in a planned out game. Life will take on all new patterns people will just need to look for them and take advantage of them.

I think we could see stuff the level of the great depression but it is not the end of the world. Americans are so fucking spoiled they think the world is over because the rich wasteful life style is over.
Life still goes on even if you lose you comfy home, plasma TV or cushy job you though you would retire on.

The great depression was 25% unemployment, I have been to countries that had 70% unemployment and they claimed it was a fake number and the real one was 90% everyone was poor but not dead and freaking out.

I have been lurking in some of the market forums and most of those guys have been buying and selling stocks for decades, right now they are buying material gold and silver and waiting for the market to crash down.

It is coming about people have been waiting for the last few years, but it not the end of the world just a low time in the economy.

If you want to know how to deal with it just look at 3rd world countries their economies crash all the time.
They would never dream of giving all their money to some banker to put in a “trust”.

Gas has gotten cheaper. It's $2.75 in some parts of the U.S. It was about $4 a gallon in the beginning of October. The SUV people should be happy.

I know I have no extra money really. Not enough to do anything significant at least.

I think just being mentally prepared is huge and sticking together with not just family but PEOPLE.

If you can't go back to the land and farm and be self sufficient go back to community.

We need more little towns with people who help each other out...maybe create local currencies when the dollar collapses instead of accepting this disastrous amero and than phoenix (or whatever they will be called).

Of course we have to hope that people who had the fore sight aren't just looking out for themselves...I mean, even if you horde, eventually you will be sought after, perhaps even first..oh well, those peoples choices, at least they had the fore sight...

as much as i know there is strength in numbers,in hard times we all need to pull together blah blah blah,i think we are better off mentally just to go at it alone..

i suppose we would still never turn anyone away,,but we sure as hell aint going to look for folks to form a group neither...
