high school "goths"

hot damn, its like "night of the living dead thread" ah yes lets revisit these sit's i personally dont think "goth" is a music thing, although it gives us a start. i must say(DeMorrian) that im jealous of anyone that can pull off the vic goth look(go fuckin you) and goth really has more to do with personal preference, and for god sakes i will tell you the difference between the poster-poseurs and the real peeps.

anyone that refers to themselves right off the bat as goth, probably not one.

if you see a group of all goths and no other "subculture" members, more than likely no real ppl.

if they seem to be trying too hard, they probably are. if they look awkward as if maybe they should try another style of dress, maybe they should.

but although there are many "goths" that treat other subcultures with no respect(classic case of poseur-dom) there are many more that treat goths with no respect and are downright discriminatory(just short of fire hoses, and lynching).

so relax, dont hate, and fight the real enemy: the purple ppl

sorry but in the age of "emo fashion" there are unfortunately far more ppl slitting their wrists for fashion, than to express their personal problems.

i used to cut, but i stopped when it became popular. sad days

 

ok this thread brought my personal question up.

im not into clothing fads or anything of the sort, i just wear things i like and look good on me.

i have some clothes that could be considered emo, some that could be considered goth, others 20+ years old, others 40+ year old.

im seriously pissed off when people say to me why are you wearing that, thats what emos wear... i mean for eg i have this belt buckle, i really like it, it looks awesome on my dark jeans together with dark brown leather shoes... i didint buy it to be in some fad, i dont wear it to be associated with a certain group of people, i bought it cuz i like it.

is that wrong??? i mean fuck, i have so many different clothes, and each could fit into some sort of different style, but im not buying shit to be stylish, its cuz i like it and feel great in it. so shit, if i wear a leather bracelet on my left arm, a red emo chequers style sweatband far up on my right, razor belt buckle, brown vans with baby blue laces and all tons of other shit that can be associated with :

- skater
- surfer
- raver
- crack head
- whigger
- goth
- casual dude
- hippie
- anarchist
- step dad
- 10 year old

i mean its not even what my friends wear, any of them.

what does that make me? :| im sick of the fact that just cuz i wear something i like, im asociated with some group of people. fuck

 

green, seems to me that you are just like me, i wear shit that ppl make fun of me for all the time. ppl dont get that i wear what i think looks cool on me, period. no matter the "style"

just cuz i wear nylon tights under my shorts, and a skirt on a semi-regular basis, doesnt make me gay or some e-tard. im just "wierd"

all of my clothes have been purchased liek that, this is why so many people that dont diss me say i have an awesome style, i dont. i just know what looks good on, and wear it regardless of oppinions.

allthough i would think wow weird as hell if i saw someone dressed like that, i would be much more interested in asking the person about it then taking the piss out of it.

ok i can easily say no normal pretty girl will shake me as hard as a pretty emo or goth girl, nothing to do with fads, just the way they look.

shit i see tons of emo guys who look good, i dont know if youre talking in or out, but fuck man, an unusually collourfull and cute girl is more to my liking then some typical pretty faced chick with tiny shorts and flip flops.
