Actually, that's exactly what YOU said. (You're a really nice person, aren't you?) Be that as it may, genius can not be "planned." It happens; or it doesn't. Look around you, right now, here in HF. Can you feel it? Can you see it? 'Cuz it's here...
Academically, degree law and business. Some people seem to be all impressed by it. I think its a load of shit. But each to their own...
Just as well I didn't write "Some dickheads think..."iggy: What I mean is, its useful for a lawyer. But I think I learned the skills before. And that my most valuable skills were non-academic.Or even unaccessible via acad means.Which makes me cynical of the acad system.
Hmm.I tend to have more admiration for the hard sciences- when used properly. They tend to be the subjects where the facts and skills are readily transferrable. For too many courses, "academic" means "bugger around for years on sthg not that useful in the real world". Its a shame because in the real world we tend to be information and skills deprived.Few of us are working "at our limit".
How "Carved In Stone" do you think the "hard sciences" are? They're not hard... They fluctuate, as we learn.
Reminds me of the novel Im writing. I know there's *sthg* beyond what I see. But, I'm not sure what.... Thats true.I know a former child prodigy( nuclear scientist).he's also a conspiracy theorist. His view is that the sci Establishment is much like the medieval Church. ie diverge from the "official line" of what science's laws are, and you risk big problems from them. This is particularly true with energy. Also so with medicine etc.
Went to university for a year, majoring in journalism minoring in marketing & design, until I got suspended for two years for actually getting caught with acid on campus. Def. going back when I can though if they allow me :x :cheers2:
