You're completely overlooking Clinton's gross negligence in her mishandling of classified material. She is also guilty of violating U.S. Code and her legal obligation to follow proper procedure and protocol concerning her use of her own private email server. Your attempt to excuse her by pointing out that hacking is a widespread problem is weak. You don't want to acknowledge that she breached her legal obligation to use a State secured server. And your only answer to what she has done is: It probably wouldn't have made a difference anyway. Weak!

At any rate, we're not discussing your invalid excuses for Clinton. We're discussing the fact that she is guilty of gross negligence. Do you have anything to refute this:

If you cannot show me in the above Code that gross negligence depends on "intent," then Clinton is guilty of gross negligence. Do you even see a synonym for the word "intent" in the above Code? Comey was talking out his ass when he made the comment that "intent" must be proven to substantiate gross negligence.

And even if you believe Comey's lie concerning the necessity of "intent" to prove gross negligence . . .

"Our investigation looked at whether there is evidence classified information was improperly stored or transmitted on that personal system, in violation of a federal statute making it a felony to mishandle classified information either intentionally or in a grossly negligent way, or a second statute making it a misdemeanor to knowingly remove classified information from appropriate systems or storage facilities."

I trust that I don't have to point out the distinction he made between mishandling classified information intentionally and handling classified information in a grossly negligent way. So, now that you understand that "intent" is not necessary to prove gross negligence, are you still going to claim that she did nothing illegal? Remember, we're talking about classified material being transmitted to and from an insecure email server at the discretion of Secretary of State Clinton. And if you want to try to push the idea that nothing classified was sent or received on that unsecure server, consider this:

Your argument for excusing Clinton's gross negligence boils down to a scenario in which someone is put in charge of another's house, and is told to keep the door locked for security reasons and signs an agreement stating that she has been trained in locking the house down. Then that someone decides that they will drive to town to get groceries, and they fail to lock the doors before driving off. Then when the owners of the house return and find that the door is unlocked and items missing from their house, they take the person responsible for not locking the door to court for gross negligence. And the lawyer for the negligent person attempts to sway the jury by telling them that break-ins occur all the time even when doors are locked. That's the weakest of arguments.
