Some of you may believe that this dream is too great to achieve... and that's your right. But bashing people's dreams isn't going to get anyone anywhere. WoodstockChild at least has a plan, and is actually DOING something. That's better than so many people who say "I'm going to go back to school someday," "I'm going to visit Hawaii someday," I'm going to start a revolution someday," et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. The plan is the first step, determination is necessary, and trying is better than complaining. ...and other such cliches.

 

Off topic: "piss on her campfire"... that's an interesting metaphor, lol. I've never heard that one before... and I'm from the south, and we're known for our use of metaphor...

Anyhow, "What ever happened to peace, love and acceptance?" Some people find it easier to be cynical. It's so easy for some people to say "Oh, you'll never make it, don't be ridiculous," and to feel oh-so-smart and big and important. Even "hippies" have their hang-ups, so I guess that's why it happens here, too.

 

Everyone is entitled to make mistakes. And to follow dreams.

 

MMR - Your posts in this thread only reinforce my view that you're just an angsty douche. As if you have a bigger chance of going to study in America and breaking through in the movie business than WC obtaining a building and producing an album? And from your signature pic(Hey, if we've gotten into the spirit, right?) you look like just another angsty teen with high hopes and a holier-than-thou attitude on the internet because in real life, despite your intelligence/good traits/whatever, you're a loser kid - overweight, maybe picked on - who knows? Who CARES?
While I can understand hippiehillbilly, since he is much older and more experienced in life than you, and is cautious about big hopes like these(from experience, maybe), you just find it, as another poster said, easier to be cynical and negative. You didn't even post a normal argument. So, again, as we're now in the spirit, I'd like to end this little rant with a standard "FUCK YOU."

I tried to ignore the fact that you're 14 because you seemed intelligent but if we're stooping as low as name-calling based on signature pics, you're just another twat.

And I never said that she can't produce an album, I never said that my dream is better than hers or anyones for that matter.

What I'm saying is that the dream might not be all hers, you know what I mean?

 

i think mmr's problem is that he saw her a year ago full of dreams of rock stardom, just like his dreams of being a filmaker..at the time it was nieve & she had no idea of the work involved & the pitfalls of it
today he sees her working towards a more humble goal, and making it happen, while he just sits around dreamming & getting nothing done.
odviosly there mayberessentment seeing her accomplish what he cant.
not that he cant, just hasnt..
stop shittin on others & get off your ass & realize your dream.
