Well, not to be an ass, but you just contradicted yourself You don't like what the other person is saying, so you don't want them to say it...

Of course, I agree that criticizing is usually pointless and mean. You need to realize that some people get off on criticizing others...but if you dont let the criticism bother you, they can't get off

Remember, "feeling like crap" is YOUR REACTION to words from someone else. You shouldn't let words from complete strangers get to you so much!

 

Are you talking about that quote that I wrote? cuz I didn't mean that the way that you took it. I'd better go change that.....what I meant was that people can say whatevery they want, but they should also think about how they are making the other person feel. If everyone isn't supposed to care about what other people are saying, then hatred starts to show, and then you can basically screw the whole "hippy" ideal.

 

your never going to get rid of the people that argue, abuse, hate, discriminate, etc...
My few years in this life have taught me to just deal with the ones that do these things and love the ones that dont do these things. No matter how hard ive tried to avoid these people, I still seem to run into them. so i decided instead of engaging them I ignore them. It seems to piss them off more than actually trying to talk shit back to them.

my mom quoted some guy who made this site errr whatever its in the ermmmms "talk like a hippie" thread (or something like that) in young hippies......I agree that some people are just to down right mean about some of the criticism, like yea we should argue our beleifs but we should attack a person.. thats just... mean?

I gotta agree with Gypzy on this one.. Too much negativity.. Too many bad vibes.. Too many people wanting to force their opinion, beliefs, way of life on others.

I don't see how this is even an issue, though. I mean first of all, nagging to anonymous people won't change them. And this is an internet forum, should be pretty hard to get worked up over.
