i sent a letter to google complaining about possible censorship on the search engine about 1-2 months ago, never received a reply back but i have noticed in the last couple of weeks that hiipyland now comes up 1st (?) hit when you type in hippy, so somethings happened.
AFAIK, Hip Forums are not accessable at my kid's High School. They block anything with sex and or drug references. I asked my kids to try to access it, and they said it was blocked, but they said MOST sites are blocked, including MyS--ce, ect. They are only supposed to be able to access "educational" site. The next time I am there, for a lactation lecture, I'll suggest that this IS an educational site. Proper info about sex and drugs (not to mention Politics) is the key, not denying kids the right to that info. Lots of families in our area, (mostly the black kds and Latino kids) don't have the net at home.
Thank you Maggie, Thank you Skip! Young folks SHOULD be exposed to different things so they can learn to make so-called adult decisions".
The sad thing is in todays world they are sheltering their kids from seeing the "bad" part of things. I read that they are starting to outlaw dodgeball, tag, and other games in elementry schools because it makes the losers feel sad. This is rediculous because without competition no one will strive to be better.
