The 2nd trailer that I posted has just become available in a nice big 50 meg file too. Much better quality. Top banana!
man, that wont work for me, i blame damn aol... still got til july before my contract runs out too grrrrr
Shame Alan Rickman's doing the voice for Marvin instead of Norman Lovett. Still, he only normally pisses me off by being so depressing, so he'll probably be perfect for it. Bill Nighy as Slartibartfast, should be interesting....
I just can't take him seriously as the evil Vampire lord in Underworld since seeing him in Love Actually....
I can't believe you just admitted to watching Love Actually in a public forum! Still, I think he owned in Underworld. He's just such a camp bastard he's a joy to watch. Pretty funny in Shaun of the Dead as well.
I think he was more evil in Shaun of the Dead than in Underworld! And I liked Love Actually damnit....
Thanks for the link to the 50mb version, Dok Have any of you paused the trailer on the HHGTTG menu screen and taken a look at some of the other categories there? There's an amusing one or two...
SWEET........and i also think we should all go to see it in dressing gowns and haveing towls.......anyway......looks great..apart from marvin.....in the series he looked so much better........and i think that Zaphod looked so much better in the series too..........did anyone know that in the series the guy who played Zaphod said he wanted two 9inch penis's but the make up people only said he could have 7 inch its funny because there not visible in the seires........look on the extras on the Dvd of the series...........(slightly random i know)
I'm going to be seeing the film with a towel, that was the first thing that crossed my mind when I found out about the film. I wonder if I could get a t-shirt with "DON'T PANIC" on the front as well...
i think it should be illegal for any film to be made based on a book unless the author is alive and part of the process. im not impressed.
A T-Shirt would be very cool, and although i agree that if Douglas Adams was still alive they could make it alot better but i am impressed that the Book is Stephen Fry
Douglas Adams was a part of the process. He wrote the first draft of the screenplay, and the director is using that one with little or no changes. I'm trying to find the interview where this was mentioned as proof source, but the HHGTTG site has been changed and I'm finding navigation a little difficult...
Here ya go From the sound of it, I was wrong regarding the "little or no changes" thing. But I still believe that the changes made were relevant, and possibly what Adams himself would have done. And anyway, can you complain about innaccuracies in a five-part trilogy where the author acknowledges and even jokes about the differences between versions?
yeah i know they're all different in the versions he did himself but it's beside the point, it just won't be hitch hikers if he's not there to help.
