It's not really a real principle. The whole thing was proposed as a logical paradox.

Some people have taken it literally and said that it either proves that.

A: Time Travel is Impossible.

B: Something would happen that would prevent you from changing the past.

C: The present as it is would still exist, but a second alternate history (parallel universe) would form.

And it's millions of these choices we all make every second that forms which reality we are in. All other realities also exist. We simply don't live in them.

I would propose it's C. As that means that we collectively create our own universe.

I got that one it made me laugh. Either one is fine. My name's Amanda though. Got my sn from combining two of my dogs names. Shadow*golden retriever* and mya*some kind of chinese breed*. Therefore got shadowmya.

Its a pleasure to meet you aswell. I love dogs my father had five at one point. Only has two now. I did have two had to put both to sleep unfortunatly. One was the family pet the other was my little baby last October.

Now that you mention it...it is. Think about some of the terrible people who are living today. They could go back to a time when there was no media to cover what they were doing and gain power and do horrible things and no one would know until much later.

Woah woah woah. Hold on cowboy First of all, if you killed any grandmother of your own, you would cease to exist.

Second of all, in order to time travel in any fashion, there simply must be at least two measures of time co-existing, if there was only one linear time existing, you could not travel back. Because you would be the future time in the past time. N'est pas possible. <3

 

You know the people controlling what went out. Not letting the slightest thing slip. Killing off people who were liabilities to tell of the atrocities. I think if you were strong enough and had enough people to do what you say anything can be hidden atleast until the person was gone.

 

But if you killed your grandmother and didn't exist, you could have never come back in time to kill your grandmother Cate. But you are back in time.

 

Lastly, since there would HAVE to be minimum two measures of time co-exisiting to travel backwards (you being the representation of second measure of time) you COULD call to the future while in the past, BUT you would need to use technology created in your future (really, your present time), because the past would have no such techno gadgetry. Le fin.
