rainbow respects & includes all beliefs, we are all one people, but we include every wak of life & every spiritual belief or disbelief
our tribal identity is constantly growing, we are a new tribe learning old ways & developing new ways
asa tribe we are only 35 years old, yet we have the ancient wisdoms of all peoples & all tribal cultures t draw on..
you cannot say that there is 1 rainbow belief, as we are all just individuals seeking our own paths, but generaly as afamily we have deep respect for all beliefs

There are always a certain number of scrounging losers attracted to the free environment of rainbow events, please don't judge us all by those! There are way more cool people looking to help others or at least care for themselves than grubs at real gatherings

-RESPECT each other

-Do Less Drugs (not saying not to, but vices tend to make it harder to make positive changes):X

-Council on a clear mind or (meditate) more

-Come together and LOve each other much more, like families should/would

-We need to take care of ourselves, love ourselves!!! As warriors of the rainbow we need to get together and make changes to save ourselves, and the future

Well, This year's National in WV was less like family than any other I've been to. It was rather depressing and disappointing to think that some of the people there call themselves rainbows. We were camped next to a camp full of drunk, inconsiderate morons who did nothing but yell all night and try to beg whatever they could from everyone that passed. All the other gatherings I've been to were nothing like that. We went to CA last year, and I also went to Pennsylvania and Montana. They were all about family. Too bad WV was so bad. Hopefully the next one, which I hear is supposed to be in CO, will be much better. Don't let one bad time ruin it for you. This year was the only bad rainbow experience I've had. I think it had a lot to do with the site and the heavy police presence. And the fact that there wasn't really an A-camp fpr all the drunks to go to. I hope I've helped you and will see you sometime at a friendlier gathering.

if that happeneds again you should go over there and just explain what the gatherings are about ( all in a spirit of love of course) maybe they just had no idea. it is said that anyone with a belly button is a rainbow, everywhere you go there will always be people that you disagree with and that disagree with you. im not saying what they were doing is right at all, in fact, if i was there id be pretty pissed of to but some people just have different ideas of the way things work and sometimes they just need a chat about it( when their sober)

hey now! We talked about that exact problem at the scout council last august just outside Salida Co.... for SURE the A-camp is going to be off to the side away from the main trail... also, this is NOT going to be a park and camp site!!!

Lil Ma, you were at a fest, not a rainbow gathering. Often A-campers, aka road dogs will show up at a fest & set up some gig to get beer & money, they say that they are rainbow so people will put up with them, well they set up some gig at rainbow for beer & money too, but we know them. I once had a friend who was all against rainbow & refused to go to a gathering because some a- campers at an annual woodstock get together had given the family a bad name.

 

Still looking for utopia at the end of the rainbow?
It would be much more fun to drop all the kegs off a cliff and watch to see who follows them.

 

(Sigh!) You'd think that the Rainbow Family would have learned a valuable lesson from the disastrous 1987 Gathering in east Texas.

And the lesson is this: NEVER HOLD A RAINBOW GATHERING IN THE MIDDLE OF REDNECK BIBLE-BELT COUNTRY!!! To do otherwise makes about as much sense as the Ku Klux Klan holding a rally in the middle of Harlem or South-Central L.A.

cavestock is just a small get together up on bobs property. theres nothing rainbow about cavestck other than the fact that us rainbow kids clean up after all the yuppies who dont know how to throw a beer bottle where it belongs. i did security and cleanup at cavestock two years ago. its a fun little gettogether either way. them saltpeter caves are pretty badass. hey bob what happened to the goats?

reminds me of the alabama bankhead NF regional a year or two ago. there was a klan rally one forrest road down from us. crazy shit. as we were all pulling out we stopped in a gas station in addison. imagine this, woodstocks big ol' school bus, and a buncha painted vans pullin up to this little back woods alabama gas station. they had a sandwich inside the deli called a "klux deluxe" far out.

From the limited exp with the whole deal, id have to say its simply another cult, movement,counterculture group or however you want to term it is up to you.

Which is neither good or bad, folks are either for it or against it.

There is love and good deeds in every group,sect,counterculture movement ect....everyone in the same movement or cause looks out for one another, weather it be rainbow,nazism,satanism or even your commom inner city street gang folks stick together.

Even though I run with a few and as I have traveled delt with many it is not my world.

I do my own thing, im the captin of my own ship and follow no one but myself

First off im violent by nature,(no ive never beat a female) as ive gotten older ive mellowed alot so the whole non violence thing dont get it. If an ass kickin is in order the order gets filled in one way or another.

Second im too high strung....I run wide open all the time, im an extremist, however I do think if I were getting fucked on a regular basis id be alot more mellow.(at least it used to help)

Third the whole slacker non working part, just doing whats needed to get by isnt for me. I work, ive always worked, always been a self starter and when I leave my "job" I work even harder at home.....But here again I know alot of folks who work hard......

A while back I met this female at a hippie friends place I was staying at and just saw her oh a couple months ago and she called me a yuppie (fuck me cause I like my few materialistic things I put alot of work and money into, my van bfd) and said I knew you wernt no hippie....wasnt sure if I wanted to be mad or glad.

Here again im not judging im rarely serious on here , I relate well to the rainbow world but just dont fit in it.

So for me myself im destined to be a loner.

 

Ive been going to Florida gatherings for about 15 -18 yrs now and have met a lot of good people all of which are my brothers and sisters. you will allways have undesirables where ever you go, its sad, but ive never had anything stolen from our camp other than the burnt monster (someone thinking it was a flag) as a game though i have seen a lot of bad people(drainbows).Keep thinking positive and go to a family gathering i think youl find a pleasant escape from babylon...if your ever in Ocala Fl, Feel free to stop by our camp burnt out for a free puffdown at 4:20 or free hot chocolate througout the day.. lovin you all
