If you thought that game was boring then you clearly didn't watch it. There once was a time when eastern teams played at a more deliberate pace than western teams but the roles have reversed. These days the most exciting teams are mostly in the East (Sens, Sabres, Pens).

you consider it more exciting because it's this end to end oportunities, with decent goaltending and teams rolling lines of big guns

to be 100% honest, i've watched the most hockey i've ever watched this season, and that includes a tonne of eastern confrence games etc.

and again, to be honest i actually highly prefer the defensive minded style of the west over the run and gun of the east, to me it's much more entertaining

and yea, the sens devils game may have been entertaining, but the thing is i dont know the players as well as players i do in the west, i've gotten so far into the western confrence that i watch players on other teams like I do the canucks, i know their tendancie's their abilities, and what to watch for

the east on the other hand, not so much

Tampa Bay knows what that's like. If you can't tell from my posts and the equipment I'm wearing in my siggy, I'm a big Devils fan.

what do you think is going to happen next game. its hard for me to say. they ae both so "even", though i think the devils are a better over all team, they play harder and are scrappier.

the first goal tonight was ligitmate. the second one was just rediclous... who the fuck pulls the goalie and takes eveyone off defence. that was a bad idea on the part of the devils. i guess they were going all or nothing... and they got nothing.

Lundqvist is pretty solid... if hockey was only about the goalies I'd much rather see the Devils play the Sabres, because I've been saying that Ryan Miller is one of the most overrated goalies in the NHL since they beat Philly last year. But if Marty keeps giving up the garbage goals he's been giving up their season's gonna be over pretty soon. Luckily, it's Marty Brodeur and it's a pretty safe bet that he won't keep giving up soft goals.

Speaking of bad goals, sorry it had to end that way last night DJ. It's an absolute shame the game had to end like that after the unbelievable night Luongo had up until then. I was pullin for you guys.

yea it's kinda ironic, how Lu tried to get the penalty called to help the team out and thats what strayed his attention away for that split second

oh well, still a great season, and i look forward to the future

Hes got a team with heart in frount of him. Unlike the lazy nucks. Poor Roberto. At least with the pathers he knew his team sucked. The nucks were good enough to give him a glimmer of hope, only to leave him out to dry.

Oh, fuck. I never thought in a million years, make that a billion years, that I would be saying this, but Marty cost the Devils this series. He did the exact same thing that I've always been critical of Miller for. Soft goals in big spots kill playoff hockey teams, no matter how many big saves you can make. That's 2 games in a row where the difference in the game was 2 soft goals allowed by Brodeur. The guy's still my hero when it comes to hockey but I think he may have just been burned out this playoff year (I think he started 79 of their 82 regular season games for a total of 90 on the year). Oh well, a good regular season by the Devils and come next year they'll be right back in the thick of things again. I just hope to God they manage to resign Gomer.

Ya, I think I gotta be pulling for the Ducks now. It'd be nice to see Scott Niedermayer win a cup with Rob after 2003.

Well I was talking more about Rob. I felt so bad for him in 2003, and now the two of them have a chance to win one together. I definitely hear you on that one though.
