yes yer money is like 25 cents less per dollar as a value than ours,, so that kicks it down to like 3.25 a gallon u.s. money.. but like i said yall are taxed about 15% more than us to have that luxury..
They need to bring THIS on line pronto http://www.usatoday.com/tech/columnist/andrewkantor/2004-01-22-kantor_x.htm
Yup stings a little when you fill up right now. Think it was just the huge jump that was a bit of a shocker.....tick off really. I am usually really lazy about filling it up and wait until I am down to about a quarter of a tank but yesterday I filled it early for some strange reason....rather glad I did. Guess if I am going to want to drive have to shut up and fill it, no matter the price......that or put on some hiking boots.
One nice thing is - this really puts an end to outsourcing, doesn't it? Soon it'll be more cost effective to buy locally.
somethin tells me its gonna be a hard hard winter for all of us on turtle island.. id reccomend folks to start cuttin wood and install a wood stove,, lessen yer in the city,, then man,, 300 bucks a month heating bills aint outta the question for you northern folks,, add to that 4 bucks a gallon gas prices,, i see a lotta homeless,, just damn...
im a greeney at heart an i been heatin with wood for 15 years,, its called common sence,, the areas that tend to create inversions should have a system that includes a catyletic converter,, otherwise wood heat with seasoned wood is no more harmfull than any other form of natural heat besides solar..
good points there i'm so glad that my heat is included in the rent (not that it gets really cold here anyways) i filled up this morning at 1.09/L. it's been around that price for a couple of weeks over here on van isle.
8 oil refineries were taken out by the hurricane. Although some are still in working condition, and still working, but not at full capacity, They don't really have a place to put the gas they make. The hurricane also dammaged two pipelines that supply gas to the U.S. The goverment has opened it's emergency reserves of fuel because of this. They say that gas is almost guaranteed to go to $4.00 a gallon.
A minimum hike of 35 cents overnight. And we're on the cheap side of town. Did someone say $4? I'm betting $5. The Port of Southern Louisiana (which doesn't really exist at the moment - it's a little up river from New Orleans) is the largest import/export port in the USA. It's one of the largest in the world. It has no electricity, it has no dock area (underwater for the moment), and no one is sure where the channel is now. A great amount of foreign oil came into this port. Most of the grain harvest from the plane states was exported out of this port. The grain harvest is weeks away. Everything that came down the Mississippi went through this port. hmmmm, did I say $5? I don't think a nuclear bomb could have done the job this storm did.
What do you mean "almost"? The wholesale price is over $3 That makes the retail price of $4 a certainty - figure taxes...
$1.29AU per litre, is that fucked or what?, after 9/11 settled down we were floating between 89-94 cents to the litre
