I have a few. I use india ink. I use an exato knife, or my pocket knife, cut the design in my skin. Then rub india ink into it. Let it sit for a minute or two, rinse, and repeat.
i read it a few days ago, and just because she didn't mention anything about using any disinfecting stuff doesn't mean she didn't use it. i am pretty sure when people post they do not tell every exact movement they did if they are describing something.
one time i took a butterfly knife to my forearm and carved a design. after it scarred up, i decided it was a bad idea after all so i scraped my forearm of skin for the next few months until it went mostly away. you can barely see it now.
last night I gave my friend a tattoo on her neck and got the bone for another so did thees tonight homemade tattoos ftw
niice. got a pic of the one on her neck? hows the other one doing now? my boyfriend experimented with a needle and some ink, did a pretty good heart on his knee, then went over it when he got a proper kit. i love that theres no bad vibes here about diy tats
looks good lux, best homemade i've seen but i wouldn't recommend this there is a high chance of infection and it turning out shit seen plenty of homemade ones that look so bad they are embarrassing, and a few that couldn't be covered up professionally
Yes indeed, we'll get all up in arms about a bit of wax on the precious dreads, but as long as people stick to risking the spread of serious diseases and promoting these types of practices, that's fine. Just stay off the hair! lol
don't get your knickers in a twist ladies. I'd trust myself over some randomer doing it..my mate had a deformed looking ear for a year after a piercing she got done in a well respected tattoo and piercing shop in Dublin. infection could happen with doing lots of things we see as normal and everyday. People find rats in ready made meals! well no one that I know...anyway. just chill. I hate the look of profesional tattoo's anyway. much prefer this style.
Oh don't get me wrong. I know plenty of cases of so-called "scratchers" being far more careful than the "professionals" who look down on them so much. There are big potential risks though, and it seems funny that penetrating one of your body's main defenses and going into the blood causes less fuss than someone breaking a few hairs with a spot of backcombing!
well it is a dreadlock forum...I'm sure if I went onto a tattoo forum I'd hear it. but plently of people on here come on and say they backcombed. I don't see anyone complaining about that.
my mate owns a tattoo shop which i spend a lot of time in, i'd see probably 1 a week and imo most look awful (with tattoo guns and pins) and at least once every other month i'll see one thats badly infected, just saying be careful but hey each to their own
I really like the simplicity of it, turned out great too. Good job! My bro has a couple that he did himself, not sure what he used tho.
I think it's cool Lux. I like all the ones you've done so far (for you and your friend). My hubby just got his first ink at a friends house but it was done with the traditional tattoo gun. I thought I'd share a pic anyway - he got the names of our daughters. The "trinity" tat is a week old here and the "journey" one is about an hour old. IDK where the the third girl's name is going but she hasn't got a name yet so I suppose one step at a time right? LOL
