I'm fine with "gay", to be honest. Everyone knows what it means, and I'm pretty sure that simply replacing one word with another wouldn't do much more to homophobia than sweep it under the carpet. Besides, would anyone have watched a show called Homoamorous As Folk?
If we're getting into correct etymology though, I think "homo-" needs addressing just as much as "-phile" or "-sexual".
