I've been to a Hooter's a couple of times -- no big thrill, nor do I think it is bad to have in a neighborhood -- it's just a restaurant. I thought the girls were kind of snotty, really, like they resented the fact that they worked there.

the food is not that great, either

Decent eats and decent beer, and an OK place to watch some sports

I really don't see what the hoopla is all about........

    frickin' sheltered Americans

my sister works at hooters and they dont sell liquor at any of them in america now. they only sell beer...weird seeing a bartender and all you can get is a beer.. it isnt a real bar at all now, they are trying to change their image....

I think they are doing that here too in Pennsylvania. It's freakin' ridiculous. Purple, why purple? Because that is a friendly color?

If my boys are getting shit for grades and they need to be commented or corrected about something I want it to stick out so they will see it and I will see it too. Will the purple make it easier on their eyes or their feelings?

I had a teacher that always used purple or pink ink for that reason...but her comments still pissed all the students off. Its not the ink it's a teacher lack of tactfullness....lol if thats even a word.

lol 'i deserve to see red' wtf? did i miss something? what is just so horrifying to little kids about the color red? its not like theyre going to have to go to a therapist and take valium for the rest of their lives. next their going to be taking all the red crayons out of the boxes. then their going to decide that purple is too harsh. damn this shit is pissing me off.

The more I keep thinking about it the more I get pissed. I know that around where I live the lil' preschoolers are out of control. I see kids hitting their parents all the time nowadays. I don't even know how to respond to that other than MY CHILD WILL NEVER HIT ME. I can think of so many other areas in the schools and the children that should have some attention.

The next thing with that purple is that it sends a mixed message. Remember Tinki Winki from the Teletubbies? Boy, did he/she get crap.
