Yes, maybe i should be more civil, im not completely sure, im not even entirely sure if you're just playing games with me.

I agree that there is truth, and there is right, or good, what ever you want to call it. But i also believe that truth is percieved by each person, and probably some what incorrectly to a degree as we are all imperfect.

So to one person, something that is honest, is dishonest to another. Something that is right, is wrong to another. So to say these things are black and white to me seems crazy.

And as far as honesty being a variable, i think it is. For example, to me, 'lying by omission' is not honest nor dishonest however lying directly is dishonest and lying when asked directly a question is even more dishonest, thus varying degrees of honesty. I also think the question asked varies the degree of dishonesty in the lie, ie if the question asked is not the persons business.

Feel free to disagree, but i did want to mention, i do agree that what a person puts into their life is going to have a strong affect on their life, though i dont believe a complete affect (ones actions cannot account entirely for a persons experiances).

I'm not promoting dishonesty, merely demoting the idea that life is black and white.

 

And there's a chance it wont, hence the disagreement. But while we are using your little example, most boomerangs aren't designed to come back.

So you may say that this is the type of boomerang that comes back, the person holding it may say that it's not, but we aren't going to find out until they throw it.

But i really dont care, im just bored and prefer conversations on HF's that involve conflict, if i think it is grounded.

part of me being lied to was the truth being omitted and it really hurt as much as a blatant lie when i found out the truth....

I dont now nor have i ever thought life was black and white, i would be a fool to believe that

i do feel that truth, regardless of personal perception is black and white- as I've already said you're either telling the truth or you're not I dont feel there's any room inbetween the 2 for discussion
