cold is easy to guard against: long johns, jeans, sweatpants over jeans or snowpants. Tank, long T, sweater, jacket. Scarf, gloves, winter boots and a toque. You just have to layer up, it's easy peasy once you have the clothes available the heat, well, after a point it's just too much to handle, even being naked isn't enough. Heat kills too, you can die from dehydration from the heat, it does all sorts of bad things to your body to be too hot for too long too. I had a heat stroke when I was younger and it was -bad-. I don't remember it, but from what my parents told me it was not a good thing to deal with... like the flu only worse, more lethargic. I'm with Johanna... much more than +30C and I just can't function well, if at all. -40C I can deal with, I just need six layers on before leaving the house
you can always put more on, but when you get down to your skin there ain't no more to take off. too many days in a row of either one is just as misserable as the other. =^^= .../\...
