House or Dubstep?

That eskmo song has 2 parts that repeat the whole song. Explain to me how you find that any less repetitive?

The Basement Jaxx song has an intro, then drops the 4 to the floor beat, it has an interlude in the middle where the 4 to the floor drops out, then it builds back up again and drops the 4 to the floor again with different melody involved. If you can't hear that I don't know what to tell you, the eskmo video while albeit neat in how it's presented, even exemplifies the reptitive nature of the song.

The beat in house is yes reptitive because it is DANCE music but the melody can often be pretty intricate.

 

Wow I didn't think anyone could actually say anything bad about 'Basement Jaxx - Where's your head at' It's a very very well made song.

I wonder if that guy who's dissing DJs has ever DJed before, he also seems to think DJing is producing which proves he doesn't know much at all.

How can you dance to that half step beat man, i just don't feel the groove you know. wack the tempo up 40% and it may be do able but it'll be pretty high pitched :2thumbsup:

you can make anything sound cool from your computer speakers man. some dj's are the shit, especally for what they can do for one person.

like rc said its about keeping the energy, and ive seen some pretty tight late night dj sets where people are raging that shit hard its just something about the raw improvisational of instruments that just really takes it that much further. some dj's can throw down a sick set. and for what they do they are pretty good. but its just that entire thing with instruments creating synchronized notes right there togeather grooving out instead of pulling the noise out of a pre recorded electronic database thats allready been remixed.

but back to rc's point, not every dj is good, and takes a good dj to hold the energy. because if your not a good dj, the party gets awkward ahaha.

Any time I've made voting public, I've gotten under 10 replies; stupid hippies just can't commit.
