How are YOU gonna take your country back?

-Naa, my heats gas too. -Yea your rite about the avarage consumer but I think its the only way to actully change things is to change ourselves. -I didnt mention it but I share youre views about cottage industries and buyin from who you think is rite no mater what the monitary repricutions. -Ferinstance theres some folks who would(and do) but taliban hash because its "good". -I wont eat tyson chicken because I dont like their employment practices. -Shit like that.. Principals.. -I dont consider a wealthy man sucessfull if he had to suck the life out of another to get there. -They dont just got us sleepin, theyr puttin nasty dreams in our heads! -They call greed "ambition". -Just dont buy what their sellin folks! --Itl make ya meen an nasty! -An if your allready meen an nasty, -Itl make ya UGLY too! -Tryin on a li'l humer there but this is some serious shit! -A serious thread! -This shit concerns us all! -Its not enoughf to be on the side thats winnin, ya oughtta wanna be on the RITE side! -Ya gotta live it every day, and spread it around when ya can.

It would probably take about 20% of the poorest people in this country, 5 or 6 of the 10 richest , OPEC, the saudi royal family, all of the senators or even the govenors, half of the christians or 5 percent of the jews....
any and all of theese groups, among many other 'organizations' have the ability to take the backbone out of the system.
all they would have to do is take their printed bank statement and cash-out.

Most people with money realize that in some ways we already live in a Matrix.
The money we desire that controls most of our lives is only represented by what the machine prints on their statements. If for some reason anything ever happens that causes the people to choke slammed by the reality that we are working to maintain a system that we know cannot feed us... much less provide the cash money they are supposedly 'holding' for us, any portion of 'us' could get together and DO something.
Once that happed and the institution could not make good on their side of the bargain, then it would seem almost natural that the people would no longer owe them anything... hence,
collapsing the institution taking most if not all of the power from the people who have structured and manipulated this system,
which would in turn cause all hell to break loose.
If the dollar falls the entire structure of the worlds financial institution will crumble. As well as the governments ability to feed the 'needy' percentage of our world with paper.

I have a perfect plan.. at least I think so. but still haven't become enough of a ''soldier'' mentally to reach out and pull the trigger. Especially since when it comes to what I'm willing to stand on, or for, concerning what is responsible for our lives coming to this... i'm not really shure about anything,
between the God we need and the system we feed I don't know if either one could ever justify us going in this direction.

Dare we change everything?

 

I would bet the first change, if there is to be any change, will probably have to be in ourselves, individually. Find peace inside, then let it grow. You can't create peace from non-peaceful actions. Maybe that's what we should all be doing, focusing on our spiritual selves, before we try starting to work on social issues.

 

Wow. Great thread. Lots of interesting points all around. Our country changes slowly but it DOES change. Not just politically but economically and socially as well. It wasnt that long ago when you saw married couples on TV sleeping in twin beds. It wasnt that long ago when people had to drink from different water fountains because of their color.

Unfortunatly not all change is for the better. I think Clinton had the country going in the right direction. He was as full of shit as any politician but I believe then man had the country's best interest at heart. Who gives a shit if he fucked an intern? Is liking younger women with ample ass a crime? OK so cheating on your wife is but hey, shit happens!

Also remember that everyone has a different idea of what an ideal America is. No matter what happens there are going to be poeple that disagree. Most of us here are very liberal but even amoung liberals there are different ideals.

I know this country is fucked up. Big Business controls the governement from top to bottom. Our representatives in Congress should sell advertising space on their suits. 'The Honerable Gentleman from the State of New York, brought to you by The Ford Motor Company'.

Maybe I'm naive but I believe in our ability as a people to progress. What do I do? I vote, write meaningless letters and live my life the best way I know how. I try to teach my son tolerance and respect for everybody and I pray that maybe his generation will get it right. It's up to those of us who are parents to change the future through our children.

 

Don't give them any more ideas.

 

I want to move to Canada.

hmmm nice thread. all i gotta say is great ideas and i just feel like i wish i had some great idea.. but i dont. i have some stupid ideas in my head that would prolly just get a lot of us arrested... the man is WAY too big right now.

it all saddens me. but if anyone comes up with any ideas, let me know.
