I'm on vacation in North Carolina, and this morning, it was 18 degrees! Kind of made me regret wearing sandals.
Central NC's big snowstorm turned out to be a big nothing. Shouldn't be surprised. Our big (rare) snowstorms always come through Georgia, not Tennessee. The Tennessee storms dump most of their snow in our mountains, so there's little left for the urban areas. 25 degrees for most of today, but much colder weather coming later in the week. It seems like our winter is just starting. Up to now, it hasn't been much.
Having a cold, snowy winter really makes you appreciate spring and summer a lot more too, I think. Right now, about halfway through february, is when I start to get tired of winter and just want it to be over.
I spend hours in the sun yesterday! It wasn't very warm with the chilly wind but it felt very nice anyway.
I instantly feel better when I wake up and see it's sunny, even if it's still somewhat cold. I hope it stays like this, I am very much over snow and the coldness.
I'm still waiting for some proper wintry deprivations myself. But only because I know they will be gone in (let's say) april.
Melbourne gets an overnight temp of minus centigrade about 4 nights a year. Coldest i know of was -3C
the low tonight is 8f, tomorrow tonight is expected to be around 4f. That is the coldest I ever remember it being here

Sounds like fun HW! I played disk golf today, walking on bare but still dormate grass, 50 F and sunny!
There’s been a snow jumping craze around here. People have been jumping from their top floor windows into ginormous mounds of snow Hotwater
