    Sounds nice.... :(

I want the same or just frost. At least that way I can enjoy the fun things of proper cold weather instead of this lousy prolonged autumn we generally get here.

We should absolutely swap houses for the month, that sounds lovely.

I don't even check my dog for ticks anymore in december! (granted I'm now in the city again, 40 kms away from him but you know what I'm getting at! Delightfully chilly weather day after day :D)

Yeah, it's sort of nice being this warm in December but I'm seeing the trees starting to bud out and Daffodils are staring to pop up. This is not a good thing.

    Hello,

last year I had ticks in the end of november sucking my precious blood. At the moment, 6PM local time, it's still 10C outside. That's warm enough for ticks, especially on a sunny meadow, where it's way warmer in the afternoon.

    Regards
    Gyro

My roses are blooming with prettier blooms than they did in the summer. A friend of mine had an iris bloom last week.

Not much colder here. Don't they get too cold in the nights these days though. I'm gonna check him next time I'm there but I am pretty sure there are none on him this time of the year. But just to be sure!

    Hello,

yepp, temps had been below freezing for five nights in the last four weeks. But that's not enough to kill them. I would offer myself as a volunteer for an experiment, but I had my fair share of ticks, so someone else, please ;).

    Regards
    Gyro

I'm in California and it has been warmer than usual lately, but last night was a little chilly. I found myslef reaching for the blankets before it was time to wake up.

Well he hates water so he only goes in the rain when we are leaving and he stands and stares and gets wet and looks all sad. I won't let him in if he's damp, wet or dirty. But luckily we really do seem to have a true short coat, he just doesn't shed fur like the rest. I know people where it's non stop, it literally doesn't stop. They wash, they comb and comb and comb and in 10 seconds they move and hair falls out. Our guy just doesn't do it. We can comb him until it stops shedding. So that's a plus. Then in my kitchen dining area is all boards, fake wood appeal one day I'll make real hardwood floors. But this helps as it's just a quick vacuum or mop and the carpet we do have isn't the nicest and I hated it when I bought the place but it's perfect carpet for the dog, it doesn't seem to collect too much fur. So that's about it. :D

More high winds today from the east, so coming in from Russia. Snow forecast for next week. It is possible to have snow here in April. I remember about 3 years ago it was -27C for two weeks and we have snow in the middle of March. And 7 years ago there was still 30cm of snow on the ground in April.

I have friends in Austria and they are praying for a decent snow downpour to kickstart the ski season.
