Baltimore is terrifying. It is possibly the most violent city per capita in the US. John Hopkins Medical has the highest number of gun trauma cases in the nation. Mmmm, Cheese heroin....

"In February of 2008, the Baltimore City Police reported a sharp decline in homicides in Baltimore. According to police there were 14 murders in the city for the month of January, the lowest monthly total in 30 years."

    That is crazy!

My city has a lot of cops and not so much crime so they spend all their time going after small time offenders. It is mandatory to have two police cars every time they pull someone over, even your grandma. Intimidating.

song lyrics quoting is very 2008

"all the criminals in their coats and their ties, are free to drink martinis and watch the sunrise, while Ruben sits like Buddha in a 10 ft cell, an innocent man in a living hell"

    :D

If song lyrics quoting is very 2008, then I started the trend

And by the way. GREAT choice of lyrics.

Not so fast ...... evidence has recently come to light which points to the origin of clovis point as having been brought over by ice age europeans who crossed the atlantic twenty thousand years ago.

That predates native americans (who crossed the land bridge from asia to north american) by thousands of years [IMG]

There's hardly ever any serious crime around here. Maybe I should do some to even things out.

Not really. Sure there is a street where people are shot and stabbed...but hey it doesn't happen everyday. Yes we have prostitutes, and of course there are drugs...but I live in a tiny quiet town.

    This happened here last week

According to reports, an officer saw Garrett J. Staats, 21, of Hillsboro, driving a Chevrolet Blazer westbound on Francis Drive at about 2 a.m. Staats actually appeared to be intoxicated, so the patrol officer activated his cruiser's lights, said Hillsboro Police Department Lt. Mike Rouches. When the Blazer pulled into the parking lot of the park, the officer opened the door. Staats allegedly had trouble speaking, and the officer immediately placed him under arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants. With Staats in the patrol car, the officer turned his attention toward the passengers, Breeonika Dell, 18, of Tigard, and Caitlin Fricker, 19, of Beaverton. Dell appeared "catatonic" according to reports. When the officer asked for Fricker's identification, she fumbled with her purse and dropped it outside the car. Dell stumbled out of the car and urinated, according to reports. She fell down as she struggled to pull her pants back up, Rouches said. As the officer tried to assist Dell, Fricker got into the patrol car with Staats and lit a cigarette. She was immediately taken out of the car and arrested for interference with police. After other officers and paramedics arrived, Dell was also arrested for offensive littering, Rouches said. "She probably could have been cited for public indecency, too," Rouches said. Staats' blood alcohol content was later measured at .23 at the Washington County Jail.

    very true.
Also, I believe that when a society doesn't accept a minority group and demands total assimilance and conformity (which is basically impossible in many cases) before they will recognize them as a part of their society, in some cases, one of the only nitches left open is crime. At least then, they are recognized as actually being a part of the whole.

I live in a NYC suburb.. it can be dangerous in some areas.. I mean isn't NYC THE stereotypically dangerous city? haha.. and yeah there's another city like a min. from my campus which is probably more dangerous than New York City itself but less known..

I got stabbed in the city. With a little knife, and by a woman, and very quickly and sorta weakly (it hurt all the same - well it wouldn't have been so cold I'm sure it would have felt a whole lot painful)

I wouldn't walk all alone in certain areas. Even in Times Square I'm sorta nervous..

As for Paterson, I am nervous just driving there.. even with windows closed and locked doors.
