How did metalheads become such pussies?

Metal heads became huge pussies right around the time most of them became bleeding heart no blood for oil anti war clones of one another.

 

I like:
Deep Purple, Iron Butterfly, Black Sabbath, and other classics

Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer, Sacred Reich, Anthrax; thrash and whatnot

GWAR

foreign people like Dispatched, Children of Bodom, Korpiklaani

some industrial metal, I suppose, but mostly Ministry

Animals as Leaders

Killswitch Engage, Apocalyptica, Cradle of Filth, etc. make me glad metal isn't my favorite genre (though it's the best hard rock genre) and make me wonder if Slipknot will be considered metal by the masses in the future.

 

i agree with varg vikernes that use of satan in metal is all too often a marketing scheme used to sell music.

Yeah. I think I know what you guys are saying. I used hang out with a few "metal" heads and we even went to a few concerts together, but they are just little pussies. I don't really like talking about people in a bad way, but they just seem fake. When it came to drugs and alcohol and even sex, I'm like "come on man, let's do it." But as it turns out, they want absolutely no part of it and they keep on bringing up this stupid punk program known as "straight-edge". not very hardcore in my opinion.

 

i don't think some of you people know what metal are. there are distinct differences between each genre and subgenre. what you may consider metal probably is not.

Perhaps both what they like and dislike is metal and they can't seem to handle that Sometimes it seems some metalheads think that since they are 'metal' everything metal has to be good and so they let emokids and posers trouble them.

 

Did you ever see SLC Punk?

Their obsession with posers is hilarious.

But, it still makes me sad when people think Green Day and Blink182 are the pinnacle of punk.

 

Metal went downhill once Pantera ended

It has more of a punk attitude now. It's more about the look and stlye and the "fuck you" attitude than it is about just good, rocking fucking music.
