I was trying to decide if I wanted to dabble in the Linux operating system, and wanted to know if stoners found programming fun, and if so, which version of Linux would they prefer.
I was a very lonely 15-year-old and had some vague sense that caring for the environment and being open-minded and peaceful were generally good things and that they are also the things these people called hippies used to value...typed "hippy forum" into google. It's been 8 years I think. I used this place to post naive stuff as a teen, to spill out my sadness whilst trapped in a terribly restrictive lifestyle and miserable life when slightly older, and I then met my partner here. Now I still post because I really value what the place has given me over the years (I feel like in many ways I grew up with it) and I also enjoy posting more level-headed stuff now that I'm happy and fulfilled.
I saw a bunch of dancing hippies when I was like 18 years old and became completely fascinated with how free they all seemed. So instead of dancing with them, I came home like the nerd I am and did a search for "hippie." so now I'm still here and I still only dance in private.
Yeah, it is. But unfortunately it's also slow when you're stoned. I prefer not to be when I'm coding. We use FreeBSD on this server, so that's what I know best, but not what I code in.
I was actually stalking someone from another forum and they had a unique username...I had to join to stalk their profile because you can't see profiles unless you actually register
I Googled the phrase "long-haired hippie boys." God, there used to be some pretty pretty boys here. *sigh*
I'm actually an undercover Mossad agent and if I told you..i'd have to kill you (this post is pure fiction for you retarded paranoid idiots)
circa 05-06 a friend of mine used to visit this forum. Being his online wing-man of sorts, he gave me a link to here so I could get an idea about this girl that was messaging him or something of the sort. I kinda liked the place and so I stayed. Kinda creepy now that I'm thinking about it.
I was looking for dreadlock advice, since this was the only site at the time which was anti-wax and catered to my hairstyle (I'm biracial, but my hair is basically white people textured).
