I remember being about 4-5 yrs old and going over to my Aunt's house. She would always play movies for me because she had ALOT of old beta and vhs tapes. One of the tapes that I watched was a recording off of MTV and had music videos on it. One of the videos that was on that tape was "Touch of Grey" and I remember watching it over and over. I distinctly remember being very amused by the skeletons in the video and especially the one with the cig in his mouth, ( I think it was Billy?). But thats one of my childhood memories that really sticks out for me. I had no idea what this video was back then but I would rediscover them later in life So technically I guess that would be my first introduction to GD.
Nice man, my dad worked for an electronics supply store so we had demo movies of live bands playing. I had the Beatles, Eagles, GD, Floyd, Doors.. All live concerts. I watched them religiously when I was little.
I did an audition forthem in San francisco in 1990 and they like my playing so much they brought me along for their summer tour that year.
Yeah, me neither. People always say it sound great when you're tripping. So what? Everything sounds amazing on acid.
I haven't heard them yet, but I really want to hear their first three albums. "Anthem of the Sun" and the original mix of "Aoxomoxoa" are really psychedelic and experimental from what I hear. Oh, and "Live/Dead", too.
